Newbie to CCTV

Im new to all this and after a reliable cctv system. I have a semi detached house and want something that's good quality, can view from my phone and also maybe colour night vision.

i have seen a few 4k swann systems but they have got mixed reviews and just stuck on what to get.

Hi. Good to see your doing your homework 

I would say stay away from Swann ….. bad remote apps …. Nvrs not very compatible with other cameras 

but it depends on your budget

for keeping costs down ….. do you need 4K on every camera

I want something that's gonna be future proof so i don't have to keep changing if that makes sense, so i would want to go with a 4k system unless there is a decent 1080p system out there, i will be getting someone to install the cameras for me  preferably 3-4 cameras, one at front, one at the side and back of house. i just want the best reliable camera system that has decent quality footage etc and expecting a baby soon and just trying to get everything ready

Budget would be around £400 and based in UK, England

Ok you might want to look at the 4K Swann 

it’s been reduced from £799 down to £299

i would ask why it’s reduced by £500

you will be stuck with proprietary cameras (only works on there system)
