ONVIF cloud service with VPN support

Recommended Posts

Are there any kind of cloud providers (video surveillance) who supports onvif protocol and allow specify vpn settings for cam access?

I would like to use cloud rather then own solution (like ispy on my computer + vpn).

Hi. Yes there are a few reliable ones

but is it a 3rd party cloud you need ?

the costs are massive and also depends on amount of cameras and storage size

will this cloud service be the only storage you will be using?

I have 6 cams now (up to 10 in the future). My vendor (reolink) doesn't support my model (RLC-410-5mp) in their own cloud. (at the same time my cameras support https for browser access:classic_biggrin: and stream endpoint also https:classic_biggrin:)

I think I need 60 - 80 GB of storage. I have plans to store video files only on the cloud (no local system). If the cost would be high for me, then I'll do my own "home" cloud (save stream from remote cameras on some private location using vpn + ispy).

Hi sounded ok till you mentioned reolink

with a budget camera you might be best and cheaper for you to use a WD cloud box hidden at same location as camera

never understand why people only want off site storage ….. only takes phone line or cable to be disconnected then renders your system useless….. cloud is good as second backup ….. nvrs are cheap for local storage and still works if network goes down

so two options

WD cloud unit …… only purchase cost and no ongoing charges

or

sign up to something like ibm cloud ….. but I think the price will put you off
