I need a DVR to record 1 image/second... Which one? Thx

Recommended Posts

Hi,

Actually, it is not this time for a surveillance stuff but I would like to record a TV signal (i.e. CNN), 24h/day, with a FPS at 1.

That means that instead of having 1 hour of footage in AVI, MPEG or whatever, I need to have 3600 JPEG (60 minutes x 60 secondes) inside a folder...accessible from a computer!

Do you think I can do that with a CCTV DVR, the Samsung SSC 80 or another one?

Please let me know,

Thanks,

SM

You should be able to do this with any security DVR, capable of producing JPEG or JPEG2000 images. Also various PCCard recorders can do this for you.Install the card in your PC run the software and that's it. I use an Alnet PC card plus recording software and export footage to AVI. I am not sure wether you can store the individual images as JPEG images

the program I suggested will store the the image as JPEG with the ability to create a AVI... you can set the FPS and save image periodical 1 sec ...1/10th sec etc....cheaper than a security DVR if you wanna go that route...
