Internet in the middle of nowhere

Recommended Posts

I have a cabin in colorado and want to be able to dial into a device and either view a live camera or snapshots of 1 camera that is pointed on my front yard. The cabin is located in a place that has no way of getting internet from any of the companys in that area. Does anybody know of any way to use a cell phone for this? Some device that can be setup and email me snapshots of the camera? Any help is much appreciated, thanks.

Any ideas are welcome =)

Is there any way of getting wireless access at the cabin? I know we have wireless access that gets roughly the same coverage as cell phones. With that you can hook up an IP camera to the wireless modem/receiver and access the camera that way.

We use AT&T USB Aircard (Sierra 875U) and it works pretty good in our area, however that depends on the company network covarage in your area. might be too slow up there. but you can try it for 30 days
