  1. Hi, I have been tasked with designing a remote surveillance system for the family cottage. It is an old house that will be renovated so I will be able to run new wires and have easy access to the attic. I've attached the following picture of the layout. It is in a remote area and has been vandalized before on numerous occasions. The main goal of this setup is to act as a deterrent. However, I would like the setup to include cameras that would be suitable for identifying someone at distances of about 50 feet from the house. I would like this setup to be remotely accessible whether it be hardwired to a desktop/server or should it be IP cameras. I am open to suggestions. My budget for this project is around $2,000. If faced with a tradeoff, I would rather have a couple high definition cameras rather than a bunch of lower def cameras. If anyone needs additional context for the layout picture, please let me know. Thanks. test
