Hello All I'm hoping someone can help me. I have the above Hikvision system which I'm really happy with. I recently purchased 3 cameras off the internet auction site. They were advertised as (HD 1080P AHD 2MP CCTV DOME CAMERA 2.8- 12mm LENS 30m IP66 STARLIGHT). The sellers service was great and they arrived very quickly, however they do not seem to work on my DVR and the seller tells me (after contacting him) that they are not compatible with my system. They also failed to work on the small test/installation ,monitor that i have. Can someone please explain the difference between AHD (which i though was the make) and TVI which the seller tells me I need. Is there a way to get these to work? Thanks Eifion

Hi All I'm looking to buy a new 16ch DVR for my existing layout. I currently have a Avtech 4ch and i was looking at one the following systems. Avtech KPD-679H Hikvision DS-7216HVI-ST Sunluxy Qvis I was looking on the dreaded Bay, so if anyone has any better suggestions, please let me know. I was looking to pay no more than £400, some of these systems include cameras, but i just wanted to know if anyone has any of these systems and if so how easy were they to setup for mobile phone viewing etc? Hi All I've got an Avtech 760 which has been woring great for months but now I can't view using Video E Server or Eagle Eyes but I can via the web browser. Both were working on Friday then BAM not working Saturday. I haven't changed anything my end has anyone any ideas please? Cheers Eif

Hi all I've finally managed to setup my DVR to send an email following camera activation but now every time it does the DVR restarts!!!!! Any ideas please? Cheers Eifion

Thanks Tom, but I've managed to get it working well with my BT account. I haven't changed the port, settings are s follows, in case it helps anyone, Server - pop.btinternet.com Mail From - myemail@btinternet.com Verify Password - yes User - my BT usename (without the btinternet.com) Password - is the password i use for btinternet. HI all. Can i say that this forum and it's users have already been a huge help to me setting up my first DVR. Having carried out a search on my problem, i can see that i'm not alone, but i can't see any remedy to it. My Avtech AVC760Z is setup for the internet and works great on remote viewing etc, but i can't get it to send me the email alert. I've filled in the email address and smtp server and all the other bits, i've tried using my BT account and my gmail account but i still can't get it to send. Has anyone got this working and if so, what settings and email provider are you using? Thanks guys Eifion
