  1. You only need to forward the ports of your NVR and not all the cameras if you want to do remote viewing. Seems like your RTSP port is not open or not configured correctly based on the "live view failed" error.
  2. I think the main issue you will have is remote monitoring. I doubt you will be able to see as much as you want with a slower internet connection. In all honesty I would recommend a simpler system or you might as well not watch them at all.

    swann cctv and lg tv

It might be possible to use the LG remote to press "No". Then you will be able to use the Swann remote without the LG message.
  4. If your DVR can only handle 2TB, you will need to use a 2TB hard drive. There might also be an update to change it to recognize 3TB hard drives if the manufacturer has one.
  5. Motion detection will determine what will be recorded. If nothing is moving, then the camera wont record anything. However the live video feed will still be there to look at. There should be some option to choose the motion areas. That sounds like what you are messing with. The parameters there are to select which areas to record if you wanted to leave places out of the recording(ex. you want to save hard drive space and the woods across the street always has birds flying out. you can choose not the record the section of the sky with the birds so you don't get wasted video)

2 DVR Systems on 1 Router

Local IP address does go through the router.

Can you change the other one to something else and leave the problem one as 80? Remember when you access it locally you have to type in the port also. If you change it from 80 to 90, you will need to type in the IP address as xxx.xxx.xxx.xxx:90. The :90 is important.

Yes, if it works remotely, it will work on your phone, provided you have the right app.

Very simple solution here. Change the Http port of one of the DVRs from 80 to something else (ex.90) and then port forward that number. When you log on remotely you will use your outside ip address xxx.xxx.xxx.xxx:80 for the first DVR that has 80 and xxx.xxx.xxx.xxx:90 for the second DVR with http port 90.

Need Help Choosing cameras and DVR

This is all in what you want to pay for. Analog systems are cheaper and have good cameras. If all you need is a video that shows your neighbors walking over and destroying stuff, then that is what you will need. IP will give you a higher definition picture so you can go ahead and actually tell who that person is. If for example you don't have coverage of them going from their place to yours, IP will be able to see the face way clearer. I have not dealt with cops and video quality so I don't know what they will or wont take as evidence. If you get a really cheap camera system and the face doesn't show clearly, the cops might not take it. I would recommend any camera from 600TVL-700TVL (analog) or 1.3mp and up for IP. Hope you catch him in the act and can get him to pay for all the damages.
  11. Usually this type of error means there is something wrong with the motor. It could be that the camera was damaged in the move. Usually when a PTZ is powered up, it will check it's own functions and give you a success or fail message. I believe the only solution is to get a new one to replace this one.
