  1. Hi all! Our neighborhood community is interested in setting up a self-sufficient cellular based camera at the entrance to our private road. We're in New Mexico, and receive a fair amount of sun, so I figured solar would be a practical power source. The only commercial item I've seen so far is the "Eyetrax" jobsite camera kit. It also seems to be re-branded through a plethora of sketchy security websites. Looks like some Chinese garbage. I'm fairly tech savvy, and believe I have the capability to configure the multiple required parts my self if need be. Can anyone recommend something that might fit the bill? We're looking for something that is 1) Powered by solar 2) Cellular 3) of decent quality that can be paired with appropriate power by said solar panel during night hours. Thank you!
  2. The review was really helpful. Thanks. Hi. Bad review .... First that camera is not for outdoors 2nd you asked for IR That cameras IR will not give you any light for your distance and most of all it is a low res and no good. I would look for a hikvision 2 or 3mp with IR I ll have a look at it.

  4. Out garage was broken into, so I'm considering fitting an outdoor camera mostly as a deterrent... I'm wondering if someone can recommend a simple device which I can fit up in the eaves of the garage to overlook the drive. Ideally with night vision and an obvious flashing light to say "here I am!" It should ideally simply record when ever motion is detected and store the footage onboard, which can then be examined by accessing it (wirelessly)? Or do things like that not exist?
