Thanks for the reply! What I ended up doing is going to Verizon and purchasing a jet pack to be able to get wifi at the cabin. It uses our cellular plan data. Then I bought 3 small cameras that will only use data when they are activated by motion and will send me an alert to my phone when the cameras detect motion. I can also store video on my computer. We are installing this weekend, so hopefully this will all work as well as it sounds. Keep the fingers crossed!

Hello everyone and thanks for taking the time to help. I am new here and really just need some advice and wisdom. First let me say I own a secluded cabin in the hills 3 hours from my main residence. That cabin was broken into with everything taken and I need to know what kind of cameras to install. I don't want to pay for subscription. I don't have a land line or wifi at the cabin. I only get to the cabin about every 5 weeks so a camera with little storage won't do much good. Is there a camera that I can access from my phone, or that will record onto my home computer? I have researched until I am in a fog and don't know anyone personally to ask. Any help would be greatly appreciated since I know nothing now. Thanks in advance,
