  1. I've recently bought a vcc hd5600 and i'm having problems with alarm inputs/outputs. I want any of the 1-8 alarm input to trigger one of the 2 alarm outputs. however I can only make one input trigger one output not multiple inputs trigger one output. Any help on this would help or perhaps a firmware change that fixes this.
  2. Free for one year, then what happens?
  3. Has anyone used the ftp function on the Sanyo HD cams, the camera uploads fine to ftp. I am however trying to display the most recent image in a webpage. I have selected the "temporary file" option but i cant seem to ever view the temp file. Any help would be good. Manual says: To use a temporary file, set [TEMPORARY FILE] to “USE”. This causes each image to be stored as a temporary file on the FTP server and then renamed to the specified file name. The FTP server will store a single temporary file for the most recent image with the specified file name. Temporary file name: sanyo_ftp_temp_[iP address].temp Although the temporary file will be renamed to the specified file name and then stored in the specified directory as explained in steps 5 to 6, the renamed file name will not include the date/time and alarm factor information. Both the temporary and permanent files will be overwritten if the same file name exists. Cheers
  4. I have an ip cctv installation coming up, the customer has a business network existing on site with fiber between switches. There are spare cores on the fiber so new switches are to be installed for the cameras, the customer wants to keep all camera traffic away from the business network. Therefore the NVR server and cameras will all be addressed on a different network range to the business network. However the customer wants to view the cameras through the client sw on the business network and also remotely. The client sw detects the server even when they are addressed on different ip address ranges eg. 192.168.1.1 and 10.1.86.1, if one of the switches on the camera side is linked to one of the switches on the business side and the addresses are as above does the camera traffic effect the business network? Also the server has two network ports so one will be used for the camera network, How do I use the other network card for remote viewing when the server is addressed 192.168.1.1 and the router is on the business address range 10.1.86.1? Sorry about the long post, hope it makes sense.

  6. Right heres the issue, I need to find some NVR software that meets the following, compatible with IE and Safari, Firefox, Iphone app, (preferable) or works on safari for iphone. Able to record Sanyo HD cameras. So far I have explored NUUO Avermedia Exacqvision Milestone Has anyone used Alnet? Thanks

    NIGHTCLUB

Thats what I was thinking, i'm after some internal cameras suggestion. preferably someone who has has good results in a nightclub before. Cheers
  9. Contact DM, I believe the web browser software uses Javascript so it should work fine, DM should be able to give you a test site. If you based in the UK Enterprise Security sell a MAC compatible DVR, works with the iphone a treat.
  10. I'm with hardwired, Exacq is good software, and Acti cams should suit your requirements
  11. Did you ever get this sorted, I've had VCL orbiter working on pelco before, i'll check the setup if you still need help.

    NIGHTCLUB

I know this has been asked before but all the posts are fairly old, I'm a UK installer looking for a camera for a night club application. I'm after a dome type camera not a bodied camera. Anybody had a good experience with an IP camera?

    Virtual PTZ

I've just installed a mobotix Q22 for a customer in a small office. Customer is v pleased with the results. Its recording directly to a buffalo NAS then customer is using either the mx viewer software or web viewer. works very well through PDA/iphone/blackberry. complete 360 degree coverage and 2 way audio.
