Trying to set up motion detection with the PSS system

Hello,

Can anyone give me some advice about how to get the motion detection to work with the PSS system. I have version 4.06. I had the CCTV system installed yesterday and it is working fine but I would like to get it set up so that it records video in a separate file when it see's movement, rather than having to watch the whole video back through to see if anything has happened. I have a dash camera on my car (Blackvue DR600) which records movement in a separate 'parking mode' file if it see's movement. I want my home CCTV system to do the same.

I was not provided with any instructions or operating manuals when the system was installed. I have been trawling the internet all day trying to find instructions on the internet and I have come across a few PSS manually and I have followed the instructions in them for the motion detection to the point where they say it should be set up and working but then I go outside and wave my arms around in front of the cameras but the system still fails to record as having detected movement.

I have to say I think the PSS system is extremely difficult and none user friendly.

Can anyone offer any advice?
