hello Matt.. thank you for your reply.. yes, there are similar devices available

like these ones: http://www.bat.telcel.com/equipos_tarjetas.html

have you done any setups like this one?.. Once i have the gsm modem, how do I configure it for remote access from a normal PC connected to the internet?

Don´t I need a router with rj45 ports?

I really appreciate your input..

-> Yes,

you can use USB Modem (GSM)

1. Buy GMS Modem (look like flashdisk)

2. Buy Router 3.75G

example: http://www.tp-link.com/en/products/?categoryid=202

3. Just Plug your GSM to Router,

4. make sure Modem can be detected, and Connected to Internet

5. Set your Router to forward yor DVR Port

6. Connect your DVR to your Router

Finish

But not really good link/ connectivity (in my country)
