Swann NVR8-7090 firmware

Not sure if anyone else needs this but I just went through tier 2 tech support to update the firmware on my Costco Swann system to get remote playback working on the Swannview Plus Android app. This update fixed it but allows one to remotely play back only recordings from after the firmware update, at least for me.

v3.0.8 build 140919 was on my NVR from the factory.

This is v3.0.8 build 141009.

Yes, this is perfectly normal. The firmware makes a change to the method that the recorder uses to store the footage, so only footage recorded after the update will be available.

Thanks for the info. This is contrary to what the Tier 2 Tech support lady told me during the upgrade session. She said that this has never happened before and I should be able to view all previous footage as well. But it's of little consequence. It performs as expected now.
