tzr916 0 Posted August 11, 2015 Hard Disk page shows: 931GB total space 868 GB free space start time [24 hours ago] end time [current time] (Default) Motion Detect Record on schedule 24 hours/day 7 days/week. Doesn't matter if I have one camera recording or two or three or four. The DVR only saves files 24 hours or less. Obviously the drive is not even close to filling up. With the given drive usage info, I should be able to record about 18 days worth of video. Why is it only keeping 24 hours worth??? Share this post Link to post Share on other sites

tzr916 0 Posted August 15, 2015 Solved. First Qsee tech support session could not figure it out, so escalated to level 2 support. Level 2 found the setting under Setup > System > Auto Maintain > Auto Delete Old Files. Somehow it got set to delete 24 hours. Set back to NEVER and all is good. Seriously wondering if this unit was a return, because I certainly did not change that setting AND after the hard disk format there was about 20 GB more free space (even after 24 hours of recording).
