    BNC Crimping Guide

I recently started using compression. They either dont work or they are stuck on there. They are expensive but there is no connector that is barely working they either are 100% or 0%.

    Mace's new cam 92 pic

here is some more shots from the same location. The setup is kind of weird. We had to cover the entrances and the side where the camera shot is in the 1st picture posted. The lights in this application are shining right onto the building but not actually lighting up the area very well that the cameras are looking at. So even thought the shots have lights pointing directly at the cameras the light is very directional (not useful for the cameras at all) it was extremely hard to position these cameras so they were not getting shots of light right in them. Also if you look in the last picture you can see a ford explorer. Look at where the headlights are facing. That is the area where the 1st picture is looking over. That will give you some type of idea as to what the lighting was like in the 1st picture.

    Mace's new cam 92 pic

Here is a picture from one maces new professional cameras the cam 92 varifocal 540 lines ex-view built in lens and ai 0.1 lux /f1.0 this is actually a shot that has very low light. We put up some cameras that had a lux rating of .5 and they could not produce a image that was usable so we put these up and got a good shot I think.

    Motion Detection/Covert Camera

if you can do me a favor and pm me the dealer price (average) because I would like to get this proposal fully done
  9. Does anyone have any suggestions for a decent functioning PIR motion detector with a decent camera built in? I have never actually installed one of these or any covert cameras for that matter. The key here is I still want one that is a good camera. Not trying to go the cheapest here, as the customer can afford the higher end cameras but inside does not want cameras in view
  10. Is there a set number of lines of resolution that = high resolution? Or just a term over used alot? If so then I am going to start selling my cameras as high definition

    PC BASED VS EMBEDDED

Ya know its changing careers because you are afraid of getting left behind is not the way to go. Ex. Back when Ford was at its prime and the car industry was taking of their was an event that makes you put things in perspective. Their was a large amount of the press that was listening to the man himself ( Ford) and was challenging him and asking questions about cars/engines/mechanical questions in order to see how much he knew. Ford had boasted that they where the the most knowledgable and highly qualified experts on cars at the time. So when one technical question was asked directly to Ford himself he picked up a phone and called one of his head engineers and got the anwer from him. Then another question, another, and on and on he was quizzed on his knowledge of cars and how they work. And every time he picked up the phone and called one of his employees and retrieved the answer from them. After nobody was able to ask a questino that Ford was not able to get he said, "you see I dont have to know the answer to your questions. I just have to have someone who works for me that does." So point of the story. You dont have to be the know it all until you die. Just have someone work for you that does as you get aged.

  17. i have had problems with the cheaper baluns almost every time I tried to use some. Definitly go with the Nitek or NVT. Watch those passive baluns. You will run into Ground loops alot.

Camera shots. Lets all pitch in!

ok sorry I have taken so long to reply. I have been busy as hell with work. We just got done with the toughest 4 camera install in my life! What should have been 2 days took us 5 days. What a pain in the ass. Ok Frames per second on that was 15 frames per second resolution was 350x280
  20. Hey I have got a install I am trying to finish while not spending to much more money on this one. I am trying to get 2 cameras from one building to another by sending it over their network ( fiber ). I usually dont do this kind of system but this seemed like the most practical way. If anyone can recommend a good anolog to ethernet converter and then ethernet back to analog ( transmitter and reciever ). Then it will be much appreciated. Remember trying to keep cost low on this one. isaac

  23. do not do not do not do not I repeat do not get the contractors kit from BES. It is a complete waste of money. If you really want to know why I think that I can send you the remnents of that case of JUNK that was labeled as contractors pack by BES. Go with labor saving devices.
  24. Especially if you are not experienced in transcievers and hubs and cat 5 in general I would go coax. You have to go a pretty long way to start losing noticable signal. Coax is pretty dependable. Its just bulky.
