  1. Okay.....I FINALLY got the wiring schematic from the MFG. and have a wiring question. First here are the specs starting from the 1PM clockwise position on a 6-pin connector.

    PIN 1: B+

    PIN 2; AUDIO IN

    PIN 3: AUDIO B+

    PIN 4: NC

    PIN 5: AUDIO OUT

    PIN 6; VIDEO IN

Note that these cameras had the ability to use audio out...a little speaker was built into each. Also, the power was sent through this same connector....there was no seperate power supply other then through the monitor.

My only concern is the ability to connect:

    1. Power to the camera

    2. Video out to the DVR

    3. Audio out to the DVR

I need to use a BNC connector!

    Thanks again and again.

    Steve

  2. Thanks for the assist....and since I am lelectronic adept I am sure I can complete the conversion. However, Since I have never used a BNC connector, how many connections does a BNC accept?

    Thanks Again

BTW....I have another post seeking advice on a 6-8 camera DVR with Tri/multiplex. I had one reply for a Samsung....any suggestions.

    Thanks again

  3. Okay.....there are 6 pins.....I asked an employee to look before I posted and there was an incorrect count.

    1) The model using the 6-pin is a system that was YES purchased at Sams and is marketed by Lorex. I need to adapt their 6-pin to a BNC since all of the DVR's I find are BNC.

    2) The other system is a Samsung and the cameras are wired with phone style jacks.

I know a cluster fudge and on a limited budget being a small business.

Hope this helps you help me.

  4. Newbie Here!

I own a restaurant and have been looking for a standalone DVR with 6-8 camera ability...I already have the cameras in place from a VCR based system -- and will need a 300 GB HD. I also need to be able to control from home while it is still recording.

I have only looked at SpecoTech and am not sure of a real solution.

    Thanks,

    Steve
