  1. Guys I need your help here, this system isnt for me, the customer like everyone else is comparing with Costco.

I dont want Costco for two reasons, its 15fps and not sure if this can be upgraded to 20fps and the NVR only has 8 ports POE.

However, any vendor I have tried, wants $1900 for this system and the customer prefers to save the $400 over an extra 5fps and get get a $40 POE switch. Plus Costco has a no hassle return policy, which most reputable vendors do.

Can you recommend someone that can do this system for $1500 or close, with an NVR that has 16 POE and the cameras are 20FPS. All in Hikvision. That also includes a 3TB HD. This would make it worth not going with the costco set.

Or I can get the $600 NVR POE on all 16ch and pickup the cams off of ebay.

    Costco comes with 8 3mp cams, 16ch NVR, 8 POE, 8 100' cables and 1 6' cable. 3TB HD. support/warranty.

Also how 80 differs from 160MBPS for incoming bandwidth. Not exactly sure what these limits are for. Looking at this NVR DS-7732NI-SP/16 and comparing it with the 16ch.

If anyone can offer this package please contact me.

    Whats your thoughts here?

  2. Ok its not what you think, I can get access externally to the DVR but always get login failed. Same credentials are fine over local ip, and its not a port issue as I'm accessing the DVR. I called tech support and they said to try port 85 instead of 80, but I cant make sense of this as I have access to the DVR.

This is a strange setup to me as they are Digital cameras going over BNC connection rather then what one would normally see using POE. The tech was even surprised of the problem and this kind of system being digital over an analog setup.

    Appreciate any ideas to try.

  3. Lots of outdated and overpriced products and all on ebay but appreciate your help.

I settled for the sj1000, great size, image quality beats many cams I seen for security, takes constant power, just hope the motion detection works well and it does run while connected.

Have to rig something that can fit this things inside which shouldnt be too hard.

    All for $79

Heres a video on it, feel free to give your input, check out the image quality on this thing.

  4. Currently looking for a good nanny cam and having a difficult time getting what Iam looking for.

I cant find any that run on constant power, for some odd reason. The ones I found have to be unplugged to work. ( Alarm clock cam) also a plus to be 1080p, h.264, 64gb, widest angle possible. These specs are not so easy to find.

If anyone can recommend something descent please do so. Many many thanks.
