  3. Complete Geovision setup. GV software, 1.3MP dome cameras, GV-switches with gigabit uplink , Using H.264 compression. PC is loaded I-7, 16gb ddr 3 memory, western digital 4TB purple drives. crucial mx100 128GB solid state drive for OS. We are getting 8% cpu usage with all 32 cameras recording.
  4. no, we have 3 switches with cat6 linking them together, running into a gigabit router and then to the gigabit NIC card on the NVR server. I keep coming back to the cameras all being left @ 30FPS being the issue.
  5. No real need. For some odd reason we thought we could push the limit. We find out now after about 5 or 6 days we are getting system freeze ups.
  6. Looking for a way to adjust and focus IP Camera while on a ladder or a lift. Sorta like the spot monitors for standard bnc analog cameras.
  7. Does anybody have any good information or documentation on how to setup and configure a Netopia DSL Modem/Router from ATT. Here is what i have going on. I have 5 static ip address assigned to me from ATT. I would like to use one static ip address for my eyemax DVR system so our client can see it remotely. I did some research and download the netopia manual to use as a reference. According to the manual i need to us pinholes or imaps. This is were I get confused. If anyone has any advice on how to setup and configure the netopia router so we can see the DVR remotely it would be greatly appreciated. Thanks
  8. Very poor video quality from a geovision gv-1480a 32channel 920fps system. I just upgraded a 16channel 480fps Eyemax NVR system (PC based). To the geovision GV-1480a 32channel systems with a very highend PC. My problem is once i switched over the cameras to the new geovision system the quality of video became extremely poor compared to the eyemax system.(thats live video) Iam lost, I maxed out everything in the geovision systems . Anybody have any suggestions.
  9. I got a acer netbook (cheap $275.00)and have been using that for the past couple of days to focus and adjust ip cameras. Works great but still to alittle big and awkword to use when climbing a later. I think the axis spot monitor looks to be the one to get. Thanks for the post. I put my request in for one. Will see if management thinks were worth it.
  10. ya, I manually assigned the dvr a 192.168.1.103. Ill see monday if this all works. I have not been successful yet. Thanks For your help.
  11. Thanks, I'll try it out with a netbook.
  12. It's a netopia 3300 series modem router. I been doing some research it looks like i need to route my static ip address through pinholes or imap. I believe that's the same as port forwarding. so when i try to access the dvr from a remote location using the static ip address it should hit the netopia then forward it to the LAN local ip address 192.168.1.103 and then i should be able to see video remotely.
