  1. Running into some freezing issues on a bunch of Geovision NVR V. 8.5.9 based servers. Was wonder if anyone out there has had any issues with onboard video causing the system to freeze up.

    Current server specs:

Asus motherboard , using onboard video

    Intel I7 Processor

    16GB DDR Memory

    16TB Hard Drive

    120GB SSD

    Windows 7 Home 64Bit

My CPU usage is around 25% running 32 IP cameras.

  2. Very poor video quality from a geovision gv-1480a 32channel 920fps system.

I just upgraded a 16channel 480fps Eyemax NVR system (PC based). To the geovision GV-1480a 32channel systems with a very highend PC. My problem is once i switched over the cameras to the new geovision system the quality of video became extremely poor compared to the eyemax system.(thats live video) Iam lost, I maxed out everything in the geovision systems . Anybody have any suggestions.

  3. I got a acer netbook (cheap $275.00)and have been using that for the past couple of days to focus and adjust ip cameras. Works great but still to alittle big and awkword to use when climbing a later. I think the axis spot monitor looks to be the one to get. Thanks for the post. I put my request in for one. Will see if management thinks were worth it.

  4. It's a netopia 3300 series modem router. I been doing some research it looks like i need to route my static ip address through pinholes or imap. I believe that's the same as port forwarding. so when i try to access the dvr from a remote location using the static ip address it should hit the netopia then forward it to the LAN local ip address 192.168.1.103 and then i should be able to see video remotely.

  5. Does anybody have any good information or documentation on how to setup and configure a Netopia DSL Modem/Router from ATT.

Here is what i have going on. I have 5 static ip address assigned to me from ATT. I would like to use one static ip address for my eyemax DVR system so our client can see it remotely. I did some research and download the netopia manual to use as a reference. According to the manual i need to us pinholes or imaps. This is were I get confused. If anyone has any advice on how to setup and configure the netopia router so we can see the DVR remotely it would be greatly appreciated.

    Thanks
