Hi.
Whats the proffered way to terminate connections for IP cameras and analog cameras with Baluns?
FOR IP:
Do you prefer to terminate connections from the camera to a patch panel?
Or is it better to terminate to an rj45 plug and connect the plug to POE switch?
FOR ANALOG:
How is advisable to terminate in large camera count applications (48+)
Thanks.

We like talking about casino surveillance. Even though the topic was about 4ch system.
Thank you cctvforum for your entertainment value.
EDIT: I see the Topic was about D1 and the questions were concerning 960H... So I guess the comment was relevant. My fault.
Darned if I know. Do you? What does that have to do with what we're talking about? -
Any picture quality sample?
Owl boy, when I was at ISC back in March I believe, there were a few companies offering 1080P analog cameras and DVRs using coax (not IP cameras) which amazes me as I didn't think Coax was suitabe for HD and you would use something digital like HDMI, DVI or even component video cables. Here's one company that makes an HD DVR and HD 1080P analog cameras. I guess the appeal is that you can use existing coax cable
just for your info for future reference
You are talking about HD-SDI
lots of company makes this product
I am playing with 4 Ch DVR as we speak
actually not too bad
may switch some " tight" customer to this product
so far I can see I will offer 4 CH only
much less tech support
true plug and play

Hi.
How much was shipping for the cameras? Do they charge a lot for shipping?
This is the Dahua IPC-HDB3200C (http://www.dahuasecurity.com/English/product_info.aspx?type=339&&css=0&&id=. I purchased a few of these Dahua's out of china for $108 USD + shipping (plus T/T costs) and I must say - they are smokin' nice. As long as you have a moderate amount of light they just look amazing.

Nice. What NVR did you use?
DH-IPC-HFW3200CN: 2.0 Mp CMOS, 30fps @1080P, 3.3~12mm lens, PoE, IR LED, IP66 -
So whats your favorite VMS software? What is its cost per license?
Why do you prefer it?
Have you tried other brands?
How does it compare?
Feel free to post pictures of the GUI.
Interested in hearing your perspectives.

Sorry I have spelling issues get over it I have had this issue my whole life. If you want to make fun me because of get lost it's not cool. If you want to talk tech call me and you will find out in 30 sec that I know that I am talking about.Sorry... Work in English. Notice these conjunctions and they get on my nerve. As a teacher you have to tell students all day long... No "wanna", no "kinda", no "betcha". Even though this is a forum and not a formal piece of writing you get so used to judging a persons writing you can easily get carried away.
Wasn't looking to make fun of anyone or offend you. I really am sorry.
Sorry. Hope you can forgive me.

Oops... I guess I make mistake.
Dictionary.com define "Features" as "a prominent or conspicuous part or characteristic"
Technically "100% Brand New" is a characteristic of the camera.
So if you "wanna" (thewireguys) get something cheap and "cost affective", (Soundy). I think this camera would be good. Do you guys agree...
Sorry I just had too...

-
Here is a cheaper one. The blues show up as red but the video quality if pretty good for the price.
-
Have you used this camera before? Did you like? Any sample pictures?
-
Have you tried it yet? What did you think?
Technically, once the camera is installed and set up, you should never have to access those connectors again. Four screws doesn't sound like such a big deal for something that you really shouldn't need to access more than once every couple years. This is the one I was thinking of: http://www.dahuasecurity.com/English/product_info.aspx?type=339&&css=0&&id=8

Define "cost effective".Under $300.00. Good quality. Good picture.
Still to vague. There's no one camera that's suitable for EVERY purpose. The more features and capabilities you add, the more the price goes up. You want cheap, you have to give something up.
Want:
Outdoor Rated Dome
720-1080P
Under $300.00

What are the most cost effective IP cameras under $300.00.
Please post sample pics. Model Number. Price.
Thanks.

Different times with those settings. Deep night always crystal clear so leaving that out.You have a pic of how the camera is mounted and where?

What do you think of this guys "tech tip"?
Is this going to get him in trouble?
Or will it make them stop?

For outside a front door in a store what height to hang camera? Is anything over 8ft to high?
-
Which NVR you recommend?
Do you want software or will a Standalone NVR do? If only 4 cameras, you can get a good little 4 channel NVR for real cheap but only supports up to 1.3 MP on channels 2-3 and up to 5 MP on channel 1.
