  1. Any advice on which panel to use. We are making a design for 48+ camera counts.

Whats the best way to terminate connections on the camera end?

For the analog component of system is their a bnc patch panel?

Terminating to RJ45 plugs is usually frowned on. Handmade male RJ45 connections are a common source of problems. Better to terminate to jacks (female) and use M-M patch cables.

  2. Hi.

Whats the proffered way to terminate connections for IP cameras and analog cameras with Baluns?

    FOR IP:

Do you prefer to terminate connections from the camera to a patch panel?

Or is it better to terminate to an rj45 plug and connect the plug to POE switch?

    FOR ANALOG:

How is advisable to terminate in large camera count applications (48+)

    Thanks.

  3. We like talking about casino surveillance. Even though the topic was about 4ch system.

Thank you cctvforum for your entertainment value.

EDIT: I see the Topic was about D1 and the questions were concerning 960H... So I guess the comment was relevant. My fault.

What does that have to do with what we're talking about?
Darned if I know. Do you?

  4. Any picture quality sample?

Owl boy, when I was at ISC back in March I believe, there were a few companies offering 1080P analog cameras and DVRs using coax (not IP cameras) which amazes me as I didn't think Coax was suitabe for HD and you would use something digital like HDMI, DVI or even component video cables. Here's one company that makes an HD DVR and HD 1080P analog cameras. I guess the appeal is that you can use existing coax cable

just for your info for future reference

    You are talking about HD-SDI

lots of company makes this product

I am playing with 4 Ch DVR as we speak

    actually not too bad

may switch some " tight" customer to this product

so far I can see I will offer 4 CH only

    much less tech support

    true plug and play

  5. Sorry I have spelling issues get over it I have had this issue my whole life. If you want to make fun me because of get lost it's not cool. If you want to talk tech call me and you will find out in 30 sec that I know that I am talking about.

Sorry... Work in English. Notice these conjunctions and they get on my nerve. As a teacher you have to tell students all day long... No "wanna", no "kinda", no "betcha". Even though this is a forum and not a formal piece of writing you get so used to judging a persons writing you can easily get carried away.

Wasn't looking to make fun of anyone or offend you. I really am sorry.

Sorry. Hope you can forgive me.

  7. Oops... I guess I make mistake.

Dictionary.com define "Features" as "a prominent or conspicuous part or characteristic"

Technically "100% Brand New" is a characteristic of the camera.

So if you "wanna" (thewireguys) get something cheap and "cost affective", (Soundy). I think this camera would be good. Do you guys agree...

    Sorry I just had too...
