  1. How does it work if you mix. So say I want 2@1080p and 6@720p, will the 3208 do that?

    Dahua firmware

Anyone have the latest IPC-HFW2100 firmware in NTSC. I believe its 2.100.0000.4.R, build : 2012-06-18 . the original poster had it in PAL but that wont work right? I tried the links posted but no luck. thanks
  3. I have a CNB LBM-24VF that is overlooking a baby's room that has a crib side baby monitor which uses IR. Everything is fine during the day but things get interesting with both cameras in IR mode. The CNB's motion detection never turns off even though there is no motion. I also get a pixelated box effect around the baby monitor every 6 sec or so. The odd part is it only visible during live play and does not show up on the playback. The playback just shows a flicker every 6 sec not the pixelization. If I turn the baby monitor off the CNB in IR mode works fine so it has to be something with the way it is seeing the other IR camera. Has anyone ever seen this? Are there any settings on the CNB camera that I can play with to try and resolve? Thanks,
  4. It does have ESC and is currently set to DC. What is the difference.
  5. 11 feet. I changed the motion sensitivity to very low and taped over the monitor IR. It still bleeds pretty bad through the case of the unit so the CNB still see's it but it is not triggering the motion like it was. The picture pretty much sucks from the monitor now but it is usable.
  6. I cant get the shutter to adjust. Under lens it is setup as DC and FLK is off so it should let me adjust. It only has 1/60 selected and I cant change it. What is "FLK". Manual says flickerless but what does that mean.
  7. The baby monitor is actually in the crip and has advantages over the CNB such as the portable viewing device and nice music selection (for a 2 month old) . The CNB overlooks the room which is why I have both. Hopefully this weekend I can try disabling the IR on one or the other and messing with the shutter speed. Both of those are great ideas.
  8. That all makes sense. I will play around a bit this weekend and let you know if I find a soultion. The baby monitor just plugs into the wall so it son 110 not 24 so that could be part of the problem. Wonder if if I could disable the IR on the CNB and the IR from the baby monitor would surfice for both.
  9. Thanks for the replys. Yes, it does do audio as well. Why does that make it flicker more? The camera is a LBM-24VF so it does have shutter speed settings of 1/60, 1/250, 1/700, 1/1K, 1/1.6K, 1/2.5K, 1/5K, 1/7K, 1/10K, 1/30K, 1/60K, 1/120K. What would be the perfered speed or will it just be trial and error until I find a setting that works?
  10. Is this expected behavior or should I continue to look for a fix?
  11. I have a CNB HDE2424DV and it works good as a DVR but the remote viewing is pretty limited. Unless I am viewing from the local LAN it is very choppy and lagged. Is there anything I can do to help with this. I have a cable modem which is only 512kb upload. What are the bandwidth requirements for a good stream? Couple other issues; -ports can only be changed in the 8000-12000 range. why the limitation -active x requirement for viewing. is there anyway around this. thanks...

Help: What Alarm System to Choose?

Both the DSC and Vista are your best bet. Take a look at the intructions and see which one make the most sense for you.

Help: What Alarm System to Choose?

if you like the DSC, look into a 1832 with wireless keypad like the RFK5500. Its a little more setup then and "out of the box" system but it will easly meet your needs.
  15. Looking for a camera that has a better image then a CNB DBM-24VD. Currently with the DBM-24VD the daytime image indoors is acceptable but looking for a little better. The night image is nonexistent so I am assuming I will need something with IR. I have two applications I am trying to design for; 1. Fairly large living room that needs to have an IR throw of ~50 feet. There is no light in this room at night currently. 2. Babies room that has little to no light at night. Appreciate the help
  16. Most of the reflection went away once I got them mounted in there locations. What do you guys think about the focus on these now? Does it look good or should I keep tinkering.
  17. Im pretty sure it was. I will take another look today. Any idea the second pic. That doesnt look like glare but something else going on.
  18. So is the LFM-20VF what I should be looking at next or is there another brand that might provide better results?
  19. So after putting the dome on, things got a little crazy. Here are two images that show what the IR and Dome does. The first one is the glare off the dome which is hard to capture but it diffenitly noticeable. The second one is just odd. It only does this with the dome on but I have no idea why.
  20. Ok.. cameras in and comparison done. The difference is absolutely what I was looking for. I have not focused either camera yet but you can see the difference with the IR. The image is actually usable. Im going to focus these with a standard res TV and will post up some better shots
  21. I have a CNB - HDE2424DV with a 1TB drive. I currently have 4 cameras setup. What should I be recording at? I was thinking the highest frame rate and resolution with a +1 min duration after. Should I be doing something else such as continuous at a lower frame rates? Just looking for suggestions Thanks,

    Record option - Recomendations >>

thanks for the replies... If I go for the 24x7 option, how many days is good to shoot for. I am thinking at least a week...right?
  23. Ok... here is the deal. My supplier has not tried the new domes with the IR either. So he is going to let me barrow the LBM-24VF to see if I have the glare issue. If I do he will swap them out for the LFM-20VF Everything should be here thursday. I will keep you guys posted and throw up some pics.
  24. Perfect.. the LFM-20VF is 360ma so one of the VR1's should do the trick for 2 of those. I will let you guys know what I decide.
