Alright guys. I need a little help from the professionals or even the experienced DIYer. I finished my 1st cctv job at the church and they are pleased with everything. I now have a job waiting where its an older house (maybe built in 1950). The attic space is very tight and hard to get to the eaves and some parts of the attic are not even assessable due to upgrades and add ons that have been done in renovations over the years. Anyway to keep this short and sweet. I need some ideas, tips, or maybe pics of other installs where you used conduit or pvc to run the rg59 in to get it to a location where a junction box can be installed and then sent into the house. I have seen a few pics on this forum where people have used ent conduit thats flexible. I need a solution that looks professional and cannot be tampered with too much. I used flexible conduit on my last job and I liked the way it turned out. Any pics or advice is greatly appreciated. This client had a burglary to their home last week.

Hey guys, anybody out there??? I also found this video on ebay where the guy uses metal conduit to run wire to cams that are on a brick wall and where drill into the building is not accessible on the inside. The quality of his video is crappy but you get the point.

I found 2 pics from this forum where someone used some flex tubing to run wires to a jb then to a dvr. Doesnt look very professional tho, but I guess it works for them

Im new to CNB cameras and wanted to order a camera to see for myself since alot of the forum members here use them. Its a vandal proof dome camera. Its inexpensive and I just wanted to know if anyone has used this camera in an outdoor application. If so , how do you like it and how does it perform. I think its discontinued also so I got it pretty cheap. Yea I'm glad to try the switch from crimp to compression. I know they cost more but I'm more concerned with getting a quality connection and not have to replace anything unless the customer wants to upgrade to cat5. I know those rj45 connectors r a piece of cake.

Thanks guys. Your info is so helpful. I didn't even realize it was an indoor cam. I guess I got caught up in the price and the vandal look. It doesn't mention an up rating which should have alerted me that it's not an outdoor. Thanks Soundy for the pics. Couldn't ask for more than that. The pic quality is actually not that bad to be a cheaper cam

I was also impressed by the weight of this little camera. It has a nice heavy feel to it and seems to actually be somewhat vandal proof as described.

Hello all. Can anyone suggest what types of UPS are most commonly used for cctv systems. I guess if a thief decided to cut the power to a business or home, the cctv system would still function. How long will the UPS supply power to the system? What size is most common to use or is it a personal preference?
