  1. Hi again Ken, as stated by tomcctv, if you are trying to login on your WAN connection, whilst on LAN, this could be the cause of your problem, it sounds as though you are almost there though.
  2. Hi Ken, there are so many posts available on here on how to set up your router, dvr, it is all dependant on forwarding ports from your router to your dvr internal ip adress,if you end up totally stuck let me know and I will send my number via pm

The IP Address is not accessible!

hope this may help, although i may be stating the obvious, you say that you have opened the ports, the d-link requires a firewall rule to be created also, you will find this under application rules, enter the ip you are forwarding to and also the ports, this will then allow acces through the firewall.

Hi I also have the same unit but the word netcard does not appear, only dhcp, or static, with regards to port forwarding, I am unsure on your model of router, you Must enable upnp on the router, open port 80,also I believe ports 6002, 6002 and 6003 on t=this model dvr, it should be on the user guide which ports are needed, you will need to define your own internal ip to the dvr and forward ports on the router to this adress, any ip between 2 and 254 can be assigned priding you are not running a few pc on the lower numbers, if in doubt assighn a number of example 145 to the dvr

  13. Firstly hi, I am new here so hello to you all, I have read many topics here, but still feel the need for help, I purchased a Sentient 250 gb dvr from Maplin, it will login on lan, but refuses to on wan, I have checked port forwarding with pf port checker software, it tells me the p[orts are correctly forwarded, it logs on fine on lan, and although I can access the dvr login page on wan, it simply says login error, I have seen many posts here saying the same, but have found no solution yet, please help, I have spent over a week trying this including returning the dvr for a new one. many thanks Keith
  14. yes all ports have been forwarded to the dvr internal ip if anyone wishes to attempt to view my setup to see if they are able to then my ip is 86.20.47.247 port is still set at 80 user name is Admin password is 888888 obviously once I have resolved this problem I will change the details !! many thanks
