  1. Hi all, Could anybody assist with the below: I spoke with technical team who supply the equipment, earlier today. I currently have setup a x3 ip camera to a 4 channel 4POE NVR unit. The 1.3mp camera work fine set on Main Stream but the 2mp ip camera does not. When i change it to Extra Stream it works. So i changed it back to Main Stream and i noticed that the time had frozen. I logged in remotely and turned off the 2 1.3mp camera to check if there is a bandwidth issue. But the one 2mp camera still does not work on Main Stream mode. Does this make sense, can anyone advice? Many Thanks
  2. I require your expertise advice here. Customer want to cover an area of 50m to monitor and record reg plates arriving into his premises (industrial estate). Is there any difference between a 600\650 TVL ANPR camera (80 metre coverage) and a 750TVL (80 metre coverage) with 75PCS IP LED. Your comments would be appreciated. If you have used these products, please advise make and model (will need to order to the UK.) Regards Vic
  3. Hi, I have been asked to install a Tannoy system to work through the DVR using a mic. Could you experienced installers advice on how to set this up and what type of cable to use. The customers office is down on the ground floor and the Horn speaker is to be installed on the 3rd floor. Cabling to be run outside the property in water tight conduit. DVR will also be fitted into a secure unit on the 3rd floor. Your advice would very much be appreciated. Vic

But when i test if the ports have been opened, they have not. Any ideas? I have done BT, XLN, Plusnet, 02 PF in the past without any issues. Regards Vik

  9. More of my customers are looking to cut costs and are opting for paying smaller fees to DynDNS\NoIP etc... I am having difficulty as DynDNS updater is installed on a clients PC and the app only works with the PC turned on, so the DVR is not getting updated if\when the ip changes as its dynamic. The client is working away regulary which could be for 3 weeks at a time Is there a way for this to be updated without a pc swicthed on all the time? Regards Vic
  10. Hi all, I am running 7 - 10 CAT 5E external cable on a large building. Would you advise that i also run trunking? or should the extra shield be good enough for the 4 weathers in a single day, we get in the UK. Would you use a single large clip to hold all the cables together? Hope to hear from the experts soon!!! Many Thanks Vic

  18. Hi guys, Any recommendation\advise on the best way to run CAT 5 and RG59 cable from loft down the cavity wall by 12 Foot and pull the cable out of the wall. Which tools are recommended to carry out this job i.e will fiberglass cable rods do the job. Many Thanks Vik
  19. Cool, Thanks SectorSecurity. Will see if i can find a UK Supllier for Magnepull. Regards Vic
  20. Hi All, Many thanks for your positive responses. I used fibreglass Rods with a attachment, managed to push it through some stubborn wall insulation and then used a coat hanger to pull out the rod from the inside of the wall. Like mentioned in the above comments, its a matter of practice. Once again, many thanks for all your great advise. Vik

    Port Forward - UNSUCCESSFUL

Hi All, I went back to the store and tried via DMZ, still not working. I can ping the DVR and the open port test is successful. Even when i use the LAN on my mobile device software (iApollo), cameras do not display. As i had limited time, i did quickly stick in a Netgear DGN2200 Router, but for some reason would not pick up ingternet connection, so called up Talk Talk and after 25 minutes of waiting gave up and will have to try again, as ive run out of options... Also, created ports 37777 and 37778, assigned it to the DVR and rebooted both Router and DVR and reconfigured Mobile App, no joy here either... I never had any issues with my previous installs, but this one is giving me sleepless nights... Regards Vic
  22. Hi I have installed a 4 camera system @ a Subway store and am having issues viewing the cameras via lan\wan I have set the same system up at a local residential house a few weeks ago, which works great. The store has a BT line with talk talk internet (incl static ip address). DVR is a Atlantis 4 channel. I have logged into router and setup port forwarding (34567) and assigned the DVR to it. I have setup DVR network settings which mirror previous setups i have done (where required) I can ping dvr ip successfully and going to http://www.canyouseeme.org/ and entering my port number of 34567 returns a successful message. So confirms that the Port is open. I now installed software on my iphone and on my laptop. Setup by entering ip address, port 34567 and username and password. The message i get in return is "Time is out" The current setup is from the BT line is connected a ADSL Filter from which one goes to a credit card machine and the other goes to the technicolor tg582n router. I have POE adapter connected from router and other end into DVR. Run a ping and picks up eachother. After store shut for the day, i hard wired a cat 5 cable from DVR to router directly and tested to no avail. Also, unplugged the credit card machine so only router was connected to BT line, this did not work. I am starting to pull my hair out, actually its currently failing out itself Any advise would be greatfull as i have run out of options now. Many Thanks for taking time out to read this post.

    Port Forward - UNSUCCESSFUL

Hi Tom, I have done POE to DVR because DVR is hidden away and not near the router. So i am using a pair of POE adapters. 1 going to router and the other to the DVR. I have done 3 installs this way and works well. Happy to hear any suggestions? Just to confirm i have tried this hard wired. Ok, i will try to open the ports suggested (even though supplier said port 34567) and will let you know, also will unplug credit card machine. Have a great xmas and hope to hear from you soon Many Thanks Vic
