  1. Hey mats,

I find Sealthcam cameras are so nice, high quality with reasonable price(around 100$ each),made by USA and has no dealers in middle east.

I bought and has used them for one year, they are great.

But I'm living in middle east area and think to find maybe something better, around this area with the reasonable price.

any info/recommendation/advice would be much appreciated in advance.

I'm looking forward to hearing from you.

    Deep breath

  2. @all:Thanks a ton for your concern and helps.

@kifaru: this is my first experience to design such a great project and your guidelines are so useful, thank you so much.

@buellwinkle: whats the benefit of server against NVRs?how do I convince my boss to use server instead of NVR?

But as you have more experience, with the following info that I mention here give me the best solution:

along this project I want to install:

    Axis Q6035-C: 11 set

    http://www.axis.com/products/cam_q6035c/

    axis P1345E: 1 set

    http://www.axis.com/products/cam_p1354e/

    axis P1346E:4 set

    http://www.axis.com/products/cam_p1346e/

    Axis Q1921-E:2set

    http://www.axis.com/products/cam_q1921e/

    Axis Q-1755-E: 1set

    http://www.axis.com/products/cam_q1755e/

19 cameras as the below schematic map:

    230598_1.jpg

I will install 12 of these cameras around one side of the yard, connect them to a switch via fiber optic and the rest one in other side of the yard and connect them to another switch via FB,then all cameras connect to a main switch by Fiber optic and finally to the server.

I want to show these 19cameras on 2,55inch LEDs at control center.

    my questions:

1- what's the best solution for this network?

2-what type of switches do I use?

    3-NVR or server?what type?

4-what's the best software for this network?is it better to use Axis software or other thing?

5-for a back up sys what kind of equipments I have to buy?

    6-any idea/advice/rec?

I'm so thankful in advance for taking the time and read my questions.

    Smile

P.S: I will install 19cameras at first step but we will extend this project to 40-45cameras in near future and I don't want to pay again for additional NVR,server,HDD and Etc.(cause this, I mentioned in the first post that I want to install 40cameras)

  3. Hey experts.

I bought a flir thermal camera( M618CS) and now the camera has some malfunctions unfortunately.

I contact to the dealer and they answered:

"It sounds like the firmware and offsets are still corrupted. The solution will be to reload the firmware.

It will need to be loaded via the Nexus sever. When the camera is connected to a laptop.

When in the Nexus Server Web Configurator and within the Server status page. The Firmware is downloaded in the MCU firmware section."

would you please tell me how can i do this?

what is Nexus server web configure and....

I have not heard any thing about Nexus server and so.

I'm looking forward to hearing from you.(I'm in a big problem )

    Light and happiness.

  6.

I think it's a post that's going to go no where. We only need to ask his budget...

The 51mp is 50k each. And only works with its own software.

Thank you for suggestion and thanks from other guys to discuss about my country!!

yeah my budget will be around 3k USD per camera, and in this project I'm thinking about cheap cameras but in future I like to use Panomera, seems super useful and amazing.

but as you said it's working just with it own software, therefor I can't connect this to my network??!!

imagine I installed a lot of camera all around the seaport and wanna supervise on container area and install 2 panomera, can't connect them to my network and watch this beside other cameras via a same server and computer???!

  7. yeah that's a seaport,the entry into my country

what do you think about this:

    http://www.panomera.com/en/cctv-ip-video-surveillance/cameras/panomerar.html

and before that, please read this news:

    http://www.porttechnology.org/technical_papers/new_surveillance_technologyqa_with_roland_meier_dallmeier/

The panomer is used here in the uk. It's being used in a football ground. But the cost of the camera and your looking at over 30 of them.

You still have not said which country you are in ?

    I'm living in IRAN.....

  8. Hi Aboo,

The answer may well be a mix of cameras from different manufacturers.

I would suggest that the first task is to establish the operational requirement for the system, which will include:-

    • Understand the end user’s expectations
Consider (as Tom says) any regulations/guidelines and legislation that need to be complied with
Look at the environment (lighting, power, weather, possible cable routes etc)
Consider the type and scale of risk to the site (confirming any planned response)
Determine the skills and experience of the staff going to use/maintain the system.

Once these factors are documented and signed off by the client, then you can start to consider what equipment may meet the requirements set out.

The danger by adopting the approach of first confirming which manufacturer you are going to design around, will almost certainly mean that in some locations in the site you will be specifying solution that may well be unsuitable.

    Hope this helps

    Ilkie

Actually I'm agree with your recommendation, and now I'm thinking about a combination of Axis,Avigilon and Mobotix cameras, but I don't know what's the best software, switches and media convertor for this kind of design!

    what's your offers?
