  1. hi. if you log onto your router example 192.168.1.1 then yes i would leave as default. but if you log onto your router example 192.168.0.1 then yes you will have to change it. port 80 you can leave as it is My router log on is 192.168.0.1 so I tried to change the "server IP" like it does in the video but I get this message..
  2. Hi, thanks for the PM, I will try that tomorrow as its getting late. Quick question...the guy in the video tutorial changes his "Server IP" & "Web Port" in the device list whilst the other tutorial keeps the default ones, does this matter?

Okay, so i've successfully connected locally through the program, IE & the EagleEyes app. http://www.dvrsecuritylab.com/pages.php?pageid=9 (step 1 & 2) I shall resume tomorrow and try to setup remote surveillance. The tutorial i'm followings says I should sign up to a free account with dynDNS but it seems to be charging now, can anyone recommend a alternative? thanks
  4. I received my cable this morning so shall be attempting this later this evening. I want to be able to view my cams on my iPhone or laptop away from home, would I still need to follow that video tutorial you posted as I think that way is only viewable whilst connected to your home network. I've also downloaded the EagleEyes app.
  5. i'll be ordering a 8m cable, the router is on the other side of the room as the DVR. I have Virgin Media Superhub
  6. I did a quick skim read and it looks complicated I'll be ordering a longer ethernet cable now I know it can be done. Out of a mark out of 10, how hard would you say it to set up if a complete novice was to do it?
