  1. well if your quoting it buellwinkle then i believe it. awesome deal for $700 (plus tax) if you get the 8ch.
  2. i can't see just offering 4 poe on a 8ch - 16ch nvr. most obvious software would be limited to 8 & 16ch. "chime in" ron or jharrell low i think thats a stock picture.
  3. Lets hammer Costco with emails regarding the Q see 8ch. & 16ch. NVR kits. To whom it may concern, Currently Costco.com offers the Q see 4 channel digital NVR with 1TB Hard Drive and 4 720p IP Cameras Item # 689086. I am very interested in the Q see line of home surveillance network video recorders (NVR). I and many other security conscious consumers would be more interested in seeing the larger 8 and 16 channel Q see network video recorder surveillance kits sold at Costco. I hope you will consider stocking these item(s) in the near future as i consider Costco my exclusive electronics store. Thank you, Costco Member
  4. same here dave... still waiting for the 8ch-16ch costco kits. currently the nvrs are full retail on q-sees site. i e-mailed them 2 weeks ago and was informed they were eventually releasing the 8ch kit at costco. btw their "nvr kit" seems to be exclusive to costco... http://www.prnewswire.com/news-releases/transforming-the-surveillance-industry-164566726.html http://www.q-seestore.com/platinum-series/

    Dahua 16ch NVR

There is no firmware software updates, not necessarily firmware. you should NOT update software. i would only update if i saw a need for a new feature or camera support. if their is no need and the features are working properly leave as is. just my 2¢

  8. well i contacted q-see and asked when they would be stocking costco with the 8ch and 16ch nvr models....they couldn't give me a date BUT said should be soon. still waiting on costcos reply on when we can expect these models to be stocked. i should mention the 8 and 16ch models are available on q-see store front for crazy money! 700us for the 8ch and 800us for the 16ch. i do expect a price adjustment when sold at costco.
  9. hope they re-stock with 8ch and 16ch models.

    Q-See NVRs?

i found a thread with some video and users review. user buellwinkle says wait, newer models soon to be stocked...he is an excellent source for honest opinions and reviews. (see his site NetworkCameraCritic.com) gave q-see a email asking when we can expect the 8 and 16ch models. i will post when i get reply. the thread also answers being dahuas rebranded q-see. i'm in when they offer the 8ch..
  11. maybe kyle is going to china to pick up those new cams, waiting patiently too!
  12. buellwinkle i think we need a review of the 8 and 16ch models.

we also need a operators guide for these Dahua NVRs. can't seem to find any online, sure lots of questions would be resolved by viewing the actual manual. any owners want to post a .pdf?

    Dahua 16ch NVR

so were unable to set all @ 1080 and those that dont record fall back to 720 0r D1? this is a question i was looking for answers too. i understand the input capabilities BUT if those cameras that pick up movement/alarm would record in 1080 (as all cameras are set to 1080) that would be a feature i would pay for.
  16. @ vector18 are those the IPC-HFW3200S ?? These cameras are Dahua bullets. You need to make sure your upload speed on your internet service is at least 3-4mbps if you want remote access to function when using main stream.
