  1. Bosch Access Easy Controller or AEC 2.1 has been a great product for our company this year. It's very robust and super easy to setup. It can handle 4 doors and 4 readers strait out of the box so you'll need an extension panel to accommodate the 6 doors that you need and that will also give you 2 to grow on. Here's a link http://products.boschsecurity.us/en/TAMS/products/bxp/SKU13842554993002934411-CATM330b03b4b3c52b006b8926b198f08011

    Good Luck!

  2. The product that your looking at is actually a wireless encoder in order for it to work you have to make sure that it has RS-485 controls. What I would recommend is using an IP camera with on board storage like this one.

I haven't used this model before but I have used samsung ptz cameras in the past with great success. As for communication I would go with a point to point wireless bridge. For the distance you specified I would go with this.

It's a rock solid product with lots of throughput and very competitively priced. In order to control the camera you just need to be able to connect to it. Samsung has mobile apps available for Iphone and Android. Make sure to go with a class 10 SD card since it is HD. Good Luck!

  3. Has anyone used Milestone Xprotect with Bosch cameras. The website says that they are supported but we all know with open platform VMS some cameras play better than others. I've been using Bosch Advantage NDC265-p for a while and seem to work great but I've never used them with Milestone. Appreciate any thoughts.

  4. I have had issues before with the electrical outlet feeding my DVR or monitor having and open ground and since the camera is mounted on the side of a metal building which is more than likely grounded it uses your camera and coax as the ground. A simple way to test is to remove the camera from the building plug it in and check the pic. If this fixes the problem you should have an electrician look at the outlet. Good Luck!

  5. Hi there. I was excited to see this post because I have used eyemax products for about 4 years now and I'm familiar with your setup. You need to forward three ports I believe it's 9091 9092 80. To verify this go to control>setup>network and click the details box next to the port number in the dvr server box. You have to have all three forwarded or it wont work. It sounds like you've got port 80 open but not the other two. Also try downloading the client software from eyemaxdvr.com same ports but the interface is a bit more in depth. Best of luck!

  6. Hi all,

I have a set of 5 IP cameras running on a server at my shop, I am using the AXXON software to run it. When I install the Axxon Client software on my laptop on connect wirelessly while in the shop, it automatically sees the server and connects.

However, when I bring my laptop home it does not connect (obviously). Instead of the servers name (which is what it looks at while on the network) I can input an IP address instead.

So I input the IP of the WAN the server is on (found via IPChicken.com) and try to connect... it does not.

The router the server is connected to is a Trendnet TEW-652BRP if that makes a difference.

    Any help is much appreciated!

    Thanks!

    Thanks

Your DVR may not have a built in web server and may require some sort of client software. Try checking the network settings and and make sure that when you try accessing it from your web browser that your using the proper port. Good Luck!
