  1. If thats the Dahua DVR, here is the latest Android app: gDMSS 2.6 https://market.android.com/details?id=com.mm.android.direct.gdmss
  2. another option is send someone like me the dynamic IP of his router with admin access enabled in the router and we can get on and forward the ports and setup the DVR. Normally when I do that though I prefer to have the default network settings in the DVR.
  3. Looked at all that already, its cheaper to buy a small stand alone DVR now. i even tried the $7 USB capture from amazon .. LOL .. no comments

IP cams make cpu go to 99% usage

I concur. 16 core CPU and 32GB Ram
  5. Ive never tried no-ip with that but you could try it. Enter the no-ip name, and user and login Then you want to try that no ip name instead of their ISP assigned IP address. Yes PSS only needs port 37777
  6. Oh .. never saw that option when I signed up for a client. Makes no sense that they want a CC for that then. Besides the client likely will never go back to that site again .. make them pay the $20 and call it a day LOL.
  7. I believe its still free, you just have to cancel your free trial in which you can only keep 1 free domain name When you sign up for a new account, it asks for a CC then it charges it $20 (for the basic account).

    KT&C Bullet Cameras

I got the KT&C KPC-N501NU-B 700TVL 2.8-12mm TDN IR bullet, 940nm IR Note if you want alot of IR dont get this, go up a step to the N700 which is both 830nm and much more IR. This is a good TDN Bullet with Exview so it sees in very little light, the IR is just a small bonus in this case, but is short range maybe 30 feet outdoors. It does seem to spread the IR it has though which is common with Exview. Also if you add another IR LED with further IR it lights the area up even better. Also it has a remarkably good color night image at this test location, where other cameras I test there tend to be not all that great, this infact is much better than the CNB monalisa in that regard, and infact they both see about the same under extreme low light (this is clearer though). Lights on, Lights off And for a comparison here is a cheap Color IR camera with the lights off; actually this cheap color IR has a little more IR than other cheap Color IRs I have used. Here is the cheap Color IR side by side with this KT&C Bullet, comparing the IR beams
  9. Unless he is paying for a static or the ISP gives him one it will be dynamic. But it should not change too often, at least not by the time you get back home. Down here all business accounts come with static IPs but you have to still ask the ISP for it. DynDns.com is supported in most routers, but it costs $20 a year. Ask him to check his ip from the DVR location http://ip.bahamassecurity.com In the DVR Network setup make sure the IP, Subnet, and Gateway are correct. I havent seen that range before so maybe they customized the router settings? Or its connected through another router or firewall? When you are at the DVR location a good way to check the port from outside is this: http://www.websitepulse.com/help/testtools.server-test.html Enter the public IP of the DVR location, and port 37777, then it will try to connect to that from outside. Another option is when he is there, let someone set it up for them remotely, I do that all the time

    zeus 8 Ch

Ive used the WD Blue drives in several Dahua DVRs without issue, so that should be okay.
  11. Default static IP in the DVR is 192.168.1.108 You can leave it as is or change it, I normally set them to .201 and above. The actual range will depend on your router. Some may be 192.168.0.*** while some may be completely different. As you see in that PDF you can do ipconfig in Windows to find the range. In the router port forward 37777, and port 80 for the HTTP server if used. I rarely ever port forward the HTTP server port though as my clients never use it. You could also change the ports if you like but its not required. And PSS 4.05.3 is the latest version. Couple other tips .. You should change the "admin" password as that account is accessible remotely. The other admin account "888888" is only a local account. You may also want to either remove the user account "666666" or at least change the password. "666666" also has authority for playback (Replay), you can disable that in the account settings if needed. "666666" is accessible remotely as well. If you want to prevent remote access for a user account, just uncheck CONTROL THE DEVICE in the account settings - this denies access to that account over the network. You can ofcourse create additional admin and user accounts and adjust the authority for each one. Lastly the default user account is what logins in on boot up, you can add playback authority (Replay) so no login is needed to playback, or even remove live authority (Monitor) for specific channels to hide the video (user would login as an admin or regular user to see the channel video).
  12. So basically something alot like 123securityproducts, Surveillance-video, and hundreds others If you are going to do it, do it because you like it .. thats all
  13. Yeah plenty people have broken glass on their walls here too. Either its because its cheaper, or more cosmetic than razor wire. Most businesses dont care, they throw down rolls of razor wire everywhere, its kind of dangerous.

    Running RG59/U and 120v Linecord

Just put the high voltage in the wall, coax doesnt "need" conduit in that case, although there may be some code against it once again
  15. Look for a setting for "Attachment" or similar, something to upload the image. Might be in the email setting, or in the detection setup. Also look for anything that says "Capture".
  16. aint no flame war, its a beat down after the trolls jump up in a thread and slap me in the face. guess they dont think i will bite back. Dont start nothing, wont be nothing, simple really. if one calls it immature to fight back when someone attacks you, then I guess i am the boss of that, cause i dont bend over for nobody, especially trolls.

    (iOS/iPad) iDMSS HD

Thats the default stream the mobile phones use. As far as I know there is no way to change that option in the apps. I guess in the HD version they must connect to the main stream now. In desktop software and browser activeX you can choose which to use.

    (iOS/iPad) iDMSS HD

Just today they have disabled downloading their apps (outside of itunes). Sucks .. guess I will be promoting android more
  19. google and image editing software
  20. Always. should be interesting. Yes you should not go down that much, could pick up a disease. You dont seem to have a problem with that in every other thread on this forum. How does it go again, oh yeah I dont know how to setup a Megapixel camera LOL .. something even a 5 year old could do. Meanwhile as a troll you forget one simple issue with that argument - I am a programmer, basic IT related stuff is the kind of thing we learn to do decades before we develop software, and if for some reason we dont know something, we can learn it overnight - literally putting you and others like you out of business. BUT that is not our goal. Yes every post you make is childish. You cant stop attacking me (and others), how childish is that. Just because as a mod (for many years) I carried out the rules of the forum and banned you. So sad. What loss is it to you, how much money from back door sales did you loose from me banning you? Recall this forum was NOT a place for making money. I banned spammers daily. Frig it, you dont even believe in your business enough to tell us what it is. All we got is a spammer's name - ak ... 357. Trolls such as yourself have no principles let alone morals. Again going too much down is not healthy. Trust me I will not be down there with you, I value my health. Some people find certain things interesting. Meanwhile others have 75 camera installs to keep them busy. Always do. You should be, you started "this BS". Maybe next time you will think before you start something. If a troll does not want to get a digital beat down ... Then dont digitally start something. Its simple really. Otherwise, this thread is in the TEST BENCH so its hardly a big deal to members.
  21. oh no I hurt the Trolls feelings.
  22. i'm done with this thread and you. GROW UP. If you are indeed "15" You need to get off this site and go back to youtube. And certainly your parents would not want you to be using swear words on the internet. Nobody ever invited you to this thread, so you can leave on your own.
