Hi, i can help u, with this and there is a cheap way and its easy, i,ll get back to you in a few hours as i gotta get work now, i post how to do it with pic when i gets home
Also can upload a photo of the end of cable from cam u want to run to the dvr

Hi. do you have a reason to update ???yes the firmware now is buggy and and most of the features dont work on it.

i got this H.264 Compression Tech 4 Channel Embedded Linux OS D1 Digital Video Recorder thinking it could be upgrade with new firmware
but there is no firmware out there for this model
there is a page on the dvr where you can upgrade the firmware by usb so why put it there if you cant update it

here is the connectors

Run Pin 3 "Ground wire" to the -of the power BNC then
then run another black wire to the - ground of the video bnc
then run pin 6 to the power bnc + as showen in photo
then run pin 2 to the + of the video BNC as Showen in the photo
and here how to do it in the photo
