Dear Experts, I planned to have a pole of 6m (for fence security) with metal halide light of 400W at height of 6m from pole base and a PTZ dome camera at height of 5m from pole base. Is this the best practice considering light EMF effect on camera? (Or) camera at top and light under the camera is suggestible? I tried in vain looking for international standards on this scenario. anyone been to similar situation before? thanks and regards,

PVT (Power Video Transmitter)
kongaleti replied to alponching's topic in Video Transmission/Control Devices
ohhh, yeah, its coax, i overlooked. I haven't heard about PVT either. As long as its the DC power passing through same coax, there shouldn't be any problem. except that the drop in voltage should be considered , as 300m is too long for 12V 1 A rating. -

i think the max distance on UTP to carry information is no more than 90m, either POE or non POE you can check with the supplier -

PTZ Camera ID and DVR channel should match?
kongaleti posted a topic in Video Transmission/Control Devices
Is it mandatory that, a PTZ camera with ID 1, should be connected to channel 1 on DVR, to get controlled by keyboard. and camera with ID 8, should be connected to channel 8 on DVR so and so forth..... I have seen on LILIN DVR, a CNB PTZ camera with ID 1 is working only on channel 1 of DVR and camera with ID 2 is working only on channel 2. Any comments? -
IP Video stream to analog Video steam (convertor)
kongaleti replied to musfir's topic in Video Transmission/Control Devices
I assume TV as LCD TV. choose an IP camera with HDMI output and plug that in to TV HDMI port and select A/V option on TV menu. -
either the cameras are faulty or videoin channels on DVR are faulty. Test them step by step. Usually diodes of input video channels gets damage or burn, due to which the video signal coming in to that channel doesnt get processed by DVR and hence no output on monitor.

In the worst case, check the RS485 controller IC, if its fine?
