Thanks for the reply. I forgot to add he wants analog cams.

I need the best lowest lux rated day/night box or dome without having to use the DNS, SSNR etc. The customer wants the best quality without the motion tracing or shadowing you get when you apply those features.
Thanks

Which do you prefer? and why? Is one more stable than the other?
Thanks Ronnie

my setup was more of a multiple kvm switch where you can control and view the dvr from 3 different workstations - might be overkill for this application if he just wants videohey thanks gobs, he will probably want to change screen division on spot monitors so I will give him the option.
Man! I love this forum

need more specifics - do you want to replicate the dvrs main monitor on these 2-3 other monitors? if so do you want control as well or just view? and do you want all monitors to be independant of eachother meaning if someone changes the view on the dvr or access the saved video, etc do u want all other monitors to change as well or stay on the live feedsyou could be talking kvm switches or video dist amp, etc
looks like ur asking about analog cctv - you need to get a video distribution amp, pelco makes a good one that will take 16 cams and send the video out 4x - then you will need a mux on that end to receive those feeds and put them into a multiple feed config on the monitor
These will be flat panels with vga connections. Is there a distibution box out there for vga? For now he will want to see same view as the DVR.

Can anyone tell me the best and or easiest way to add multiple monitors to a system? Flat panels. 2-3 extra monitors. One will be 100ft. away.
Thanks

I have a guy wanting to put 4 dvr's in diferent locations at a residential area with a guard shack at front. They want the guard to be able to get an alarm when motion detects so he can give it is attention. The issue is it is all remote. Any ideas would be great. Thanks Ronnie

I have a guy who lost 9 out of 12 cameras mounted on a metal building. Can anyone recomend protection form direct hits and or cable hits? Thanks Ronnie

I m still confused. I understand that 30 frames per second per camera is real time, but I see these other examples and then get lost. Could anyone clear this up for me? Thanks Ronnie

Good film. I was lost a little on the native file. Avi is compressed right. The native, how do you retrieve it and is it actually better?
Thanks
