  1. I have a Hikvision NVR at home.
there are 3 cameras for home surveillance.
However, I also have 1 camera at the office.
Can I get the image from the office camera on my NVR at home?

That way my wife (who is at home) can see when I'm in the office.

At the moment I can't get it set up.

At the office I had 3 ports opened in the modem
    8442, 8443 & 8444 these are confirmed open.

    (below are example IP addresses)
    Home IP (fixed): 95.110.50.50
    IP office (fixed) : 94.110.50.60

I would like to set the following ports:
    HTTP : 8442 (default 80)
    RTTSP : 8443 (default 554)
    SERVER : 8444 (default 8000)

I have set the following on the camera:

    1.png.91e48f5ec13397c5ead4e3859cd5ad4d.png

    On the NVR following :

    2.png.30603aead312ffa7d92b0effe0d8d68e.png

I can surf the office camera web page just fine from home or outside by going to : 94.110.50.60:8442

But the connection in the NVR says: parameter error.
The camera has already been set to factory settings twice, am I doing something wrong?

  2. Hey all.

I have a Hikvision DS-7608NI-E2 and if I want to switch to substream I get following message.

    Switching the stream failed.

This problem is with following camera's:

    DS-2CD2342WD-I 4mp (WR version, firmware: 5.4.3)

    DS-2CD2155F-IS 5mp (CH version, firmware: 5.4.2.0)

    DS-2CD2432F-IW 3mp (WR version, firmware: 5.4.0)

    The only one working is:

    DS-2CD2342WD-I 3mp (WR version, firmware: 5.2.3)

All camera's are all configured plug and play.

The substream is working if i log in directly true webinterface.

    any idea's ?

The ivms 4500 app, same problem, substreams are not working available.

  3. Hey.

    I have 2 questions.

What is the best option to buy?

    DS-2CD2342WD-I (4mp) or DS-2CD2352-I (5mp)

The 5mp over the 4mp version is the logical choice but I don't know for sure !

In the datasheet the 5mp is "Wide Dynamic Range : DWDR"

The 4mp version the datasheet is says "Wide Dynamic Range : 120dB"

I think the 4mp = True dynamic range, the 5mp = Digital dynamic range

    it this correct?

If so, i think the 4mp version is the better choice.

then we also have the china version vs the Western version question.

    both 5mp ,, DS-2CD2352-I (5mp Western) vs DS-2CD2355-IS (5mp China)

what's up with this one? its cost half of the (WR) Western version.

I understand the firmware is not possible to update, and you may have a DVR mismatch ,

is the only difference the firmware ? (maybe also sound on the China version)

  4. I dont know how, but it realy worked for me.

I have chinese camera 5.2.5 only Chinese language in IE , mfdate: 10/2014

Then i got message 'Language version mismatch' in my overseas (European) nvr, so only protocol ONVIF was possible.

I asked the seller if there was a fix.

he send me a 5.2.3 firmware in full Enlisch with region change inside.

So indeed i now youse my camera with Hikvision protocol in my nvr. and all menus are Enlgisch!

i like to share the link with you people: http://www.mediafire.com/download/mrni2uocucai24c/TFTPV523.rar

just to make me even happier i did try an update to 5.3.0

but then i get a message in IE:

Access Error: 404 -- Not Found

    firmware language mismatch: /home/webLib

  5. You have to youse the TFTP recovery tool.

just had the same problem, a few houres later i have it working again.

****, chinese on my camera.... lol, next problem....

there is NO reset button in the Hikvision DS-2CD2332-I turrent!

i have it working again with the TFTP tool, now i have to put it back together.

i unscrewed everything to search for a reset button.

  6. I just installed the new firmware.

    IPC_R0_EN_STD_5.2.3_141024 from here:

    http://www.hikvisioneurope.com/portal/index.php?dir=Product%20Firmware/Cameras/DS-2CD2xx2/

And i only have Chinese now

The trick for activating TELNET in the cam is not working.

The option is not there anymore!

    only: 硬件服务

    启用红外灯

translation: Hardware services, enable infrared lamp

    Help...

  7. Hello.

first: sorry for the bad English.

I have a Axis P3344 IP camera and a Synology DS 112+ NAS.

I like to know what my options are.

I like to record image (on movement), i tested this allready with following options:

    1. Record with Axis firmware to the NAS, but then there is no easy management software.

    2. Youse Axis camera companion (then there is VMS software, but very minimal options)

    3. Youse Synology Surveillance Station software (running on NAS)

are there annymore options without running a PC 24/7 ?

Milestone XProtect is no option i think? i have to leave the pc running then?

So i'm looking for something thats runs on the cam itself or on the nas.

I mean: the trigger must run inside the camera or on the NAS.

    thanks...
