this is how it looks now its a lil blur due to me moving it but when its mounted after i can get hold of a new extension cable it will be blur free

yes its wierd correctly i've solved this now the rca cable i bough off ebay is the culprit changed to the ps2 1 that came with a scart block clear pics

get avg free as an antivirus uses little resources and its completly free -

if its stand alone and will never see the internet then dont bother otherwise put 1 on -
bought a dvr card to go with my cctv setup when it arrives do i need any software to enable me to record onto the pc or is that with the drivers i assume will be with it due to it showing a blue cd with it? if so could some 1 link me to where to get it from many thanks

got hold of a vcr with a video output in rca form plugged in still nothing???????? guss im gona have to wait for the camera

dunno i assumed it was it looks similar its a coaxial cable hmmm starting to think this may be harder than i originally thought it would be

okie dokie ill look through all my devices see what has a video out on and then try it seeing as my dvr card has bnc on it could i just plug my tv aerial into it?

none of my tv's have rca ports on them

think i tried that guess im just gonna have to wait for the camera to turn up is there any diagnostic software out there to check if the card is working?

been to camera settings and enabled all 4 channels on my dvr card and stil nothing i think it could be down to me not using the camcorder right as its my mums http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v618/paw1983/see.jpg erm plugged it into the vcr/dvd combi with the yellow port and still nothing on the tv either

well what software you suggest i use then as im not prepared to pay for a piece of software, seeing as i already paid for pico2000 with the dvr card i've uninstalled pico ive uninstalled card i've reinstalled pico i've reinstalled drivers for card i've gone to update them to whats on the disk but it windows says it has the best match it can only thing i can think of is my camcorder dont support it as its probly 10yr old or so :S would rather know if my card works though either way before my camera turns off if possible so if any 1 knows how to get a image up on pico please let me know

well i did this i put all the rca - bnc connectors on so i didnt loose them then plugged a rca cable to the yellow port on my camcorder and then the rca port on the card and nothing although when i tried hooking the camera to my dvd/vcr is didnt do n e thing either:S so im stumped i get the screen when i start pico up with logon etc do tht then i can choose which camera's etc i wanna use so im stumped

is there any way to test that the card is working untill my cam comes i've tried hooking up a camcorder via the rca ports and turning it on but nothing in pico all it says is disk occupied the username and date / time or is this only somthing that can be cmpatible with cmos cameras? oh the dvr card looks like the 1 in the link and on the back of the card there are 2 model no.s which that is 1 of them

well got it earlier on today seems ok installed it no instructions with it tho as i dont have a camera yet all i could do is install the card and the software working software was pico 2000 i think as im at college now so dont really know if thats is correct but all it does is show a blank screen possibly due to no camera lmfaoo

yer very limited as in cheap as i can think ill stick with this camera if it turns out to be wank it will go back on ebay and i will look for a better 1 the thing that drew me initially to this was i thought it would give me good quality pistures in "colour" in the dark so long as it looks a lot better than this atnight ill be happy this is with my eyetoy from my ps2 as a webcam thats the camera in black and white it seems to run bette rthis way compared to colour although this is improved when the camera is the other side of the window well im off ill ready here in a few hours see if there a reply

i dunno i didnt know there were cctv forums before i bought it. i dont know any thing about them how much light would there not have to be for this to go into night mode any ideas?
