I am very new to this so please accept my apologies if this has been posted elsewhere or if it comes across as a dumb question.
I am looking for a wifi security camera for my flat (I see these called IP cameras) which I can use to keep an eye on my properly via my iPhone, iPad and laptop web browser. I see most detect motion and send notifications (SMS or email), have night vision with live feeds and can be panned/zoomed remotely. Although wifi capabilities are important, I will more than likely keep this plugged into my router.
Based on experience, do people recommend any in particular? I am based in the UK so will probably buy from trusty Amazon.co.uk. I keep reading online reviews and see horror stories of people struggling to set them up etc. I consider myself pretty IT savvy but would like a camera that is easy to get going.
I don't really want to spend a fortune but do want a trusty device that I can access 'on the go' on my iPhone through wifi/cellular as well as when at work on the PC.
Any advice would be great! Thanks.
