  1. Are you sure about that? For example, with Netvision, they told me to contact someone else in the U.S. up north to buy their cards, not themselves, as I would need to buy from China. Turned out this person sold hikvision cards, but never mentioned anything about whether they came with software, or even Netvision for that matter. And the price is not much less if any to Geovision, so makes no sense to me at this time. Ive also watched the demo video clips recorded from the hik cards from a couple OEMs and I was not impressed, but perhaps they didnt realize the video looked bad?

Hi, you said you wanted to buy a card from USA, not from China. Maybe there was a mistake.

And I think the price maybe different to different customers. Because any dealer will increase the price when the order is not big.

BTW, even a same card can offer you different video quality when used in different softwares or worked in different modes, such as QCIF, CIF, DCIF, 2CIF or D1. Do you think so?

  2. I'm hoping you can determine the manufacturer by these links to the H/W and S/W manuals so I don't have to pull the cards.

The last thing I want to do is change the cards. Plan B would be to try and set up remote access on a Blackberry Bold that I also carry.

    Thanks

I am sorry I can't open the links. And I don't think they will put the manufacturer in the manual. Maybe you can give me pictures or serial number to help me find out who is the manufacturer.

IPhone and Blackberry are both supported by our software. You can google Netvisiondvr to find us.

  3. Hi ,

i was using the ip based cameras listed on this cctv web site and i need some resources for the network video server.

do you have an dvr that can record from ip cameras?????

We have dvr that can preview and record from IP cameras. We call it hybrid DVR. It's powerful but it is very expensive.

Do you need some more information about it? Such as specification etc.?

  4. I'm trying to find a way to access my I-View PC DVR from my IPhone. The Safari browser does not support ActiveX so I cannot access I-View's EZWebServer.

The Opera browser may soon be released by Apple and this may work, not sure. Anyone know of any other way to accomplish this?

    Thanks Bill

    Our software supports Iphone.

If you are interested about this, PM me please and I will give you contact information of our dealer in USA.

    Hi,

What are you talking about here? The #7130 chip DVR card? If it is, you should ask your supplier to offer you the new drivers supporting windows 7. However, there is no windows 7 mentioned above in the recommended system.

  6. I think maybe few people will write the firmware patch for others, especially the software suppliers.

Where is your location? Are you dealer or end user? Maybe I can offer you one software for free to test.

I am sure the software supports Windows 7 and even 64 bit OS. Of course, support sending email while there is motion alarm or video loss. And some other useful functions, such as multi-monitor, multi-brand of IP cameras supported and Iphone&BlackBerry supported, etc.

  7. I highly recommend Netvision's software, but lately the support has started to ignore my messages for support. The software was available and could be freely downloaded, but recently they implemented a secure download section and you need an account and password to login. For some reason, they are protecting the download section with security tighter then Fort Knox; even from people who purchased licenses from them.

If you can get response from them, and you are able to purchase a license, the software is very good and worth the money.

Thank you for your compliment of our software. But I am sorry I have to point out "but lately the support has started to ignore my messages for support" is not the truth. I have explained to you that we sent several emails to you but you didn't receive them.

The reason we pretect our download section so "tight" is that we have found there are too many piracy.

  8. I purchased a software license from Netvision DVR last year (DS-4008HC based card), before they implemented the login & password requirement for the download section and I'm having trouble getting them to respond to my requests for an account. Has anyone here had a problem getting through to them?

I have been using version v5.33, but I noticed that the latest v5.35 supports 64bit OS's and I wanted to downloaded it to try it out. I sent 3 requests to the sales team and so far I have not received a response. I realize the Chinese New Year holiday was celebrated during this time, but that ended 4 days ago. Usually they are quick to respond to any questions I have so this seems unusual.

Has anyone else experienced problems getting in contact with them?

    Hi,

I am a tech from Netvision. Maybe the sales missed your email. Or maybe they mistook your email as junk mail. I am so sorry about this. I will PM you later to give you ID and password to the download page. By the way, can you please tell me your location?

  9. Will!

Should also put in a way to put in some text as case number, date, contact person, and a short descripton of what the video files are showing!

And a dealer contact info if need of support!

Also what do you eat for food in Chinese new year? Something special? Tradional?

    JD

Too much information may be too complex. But thank you all the same.

Now we don't take care what to eat. Spring Festival becomes a day that make most of our friends and relatives gather together. However, the customs are different at different locations.

  10. Hi William .. What is LPR??

"Face Recognition" - do you mean that it can distinguish Tom from Tim .. Mary from Maria?

    LPR means License Plate Recognition.

Face Recognition can distinguish Tom from Tim .. Mary from Maria when it's used in police station. I mean when there are tens of thousands of face information in the database, it can do that.

Both Face Recognition and LPR are based on video analysis. They can be realized in software.

"PTZ tracking with Zoom" is not so powerful.
