Now that I can find the image I'm having trouble with the authentication. I'm using the following, but it makes me authenticate every time even though the user and password is in the URL.

http://192.168.1.108/cgi-bin/snapshot.cgi?channel=road?loginuse=login&loginpas=password

Isn't that always the way... I've answered my own question as soon as I posted.

This is the format:

http://IPADDRESS/cgi-bin/snapshot.cgi?loginuse=[uSERNAME]&loginpas=[PASSWORD]

Is it possible to grab screenshots from a Dahua NVR? I want to use one as a webcam image and I've found that you can go directly to a camera using a link such as: http://IPADDRESS/cgi-bin/snapshot.cgi

However 3 of my 4 cams are using the built in NVR POE ports on the NVR 4108 and aren't directly accessible on the rest of the network (unless there is a way I haven't thought of).

Do all of the Dahuas genrally have the same OS on them are there some to stay away from?

That's weird, I typed Nelly's and it hanged to Dahua in the title, and it disappeared in the body... So if you are wondering what I mean, it's the Nelly's Dahua ION Series.

Hi All, long time listener first time caller.

I'm in the market for budget 8 channel NVR. My requirements are simple, and all I want is an easy to use unit that I can pop an HD in, record 24/7, will record up to 8 cameras, show all on screen at once, and provide basic alerts.

Since I live in New Zealand it's not so easy to get anything here so I have to rely on Aliexpress. I like the look of the Nellys ION Series but the shipping from the US would be a killer (they don't ship here so need to get it on shipped from someone in the US).

I've found these which look similar, and I would assume the first one is the same (has the same interface in the screenshots), and the second one a later model (no screen shots).

I'm not trying to circumvent Nelly's, it's just that they don't seem to ship to NZ.
