  1. Hi, the one you bought is not real POE, maybe that only DC12V and transfer from NVR to IPC, without any manager or protocol.

Standard POE is DC48V , IEEE802.3af protocol. This standard POE can support max 100m.

I feel like newbie at all the area of Security Cameras.

I got used to DVRs and stuff and we have been advanced to NVR's.

I had bad experience with Chinese makers of NVR's that promised their NVR can supply power to 4 cameras over 15m each and stuff like that and all of them have failed.

Correctly today i am search for a system of "Hikvision" (that's what my costumer wants) or "other big brand" with POE, 3MP cameras (8 of them), and of course NVR that can supply power over 20m for each.

I know Hikvision has great mobile Apps too so this is a good point for them.

Basically i know that every NVR should support power to the each camera up to 100m (poe cable has 12w in it - max).

if not or something like that please correct me, direct me to read stuff - I will be happy with that.

    Thanks in advance mates

  2. I have used this DVR before. Its password depand on its date.

For example: If the date shows 2015-05-12 16:21:54 on the DVR screen. Then its super password is 051216 .

    Maybe you can try this.

Hi there going on this if the screen time i have on my screen is

    29-05-2015 11:41:42

what would the password be then.

    Thanks in advance.

    Then password would be 052911.

    Today is 02-06-2015 11:41:42 and the password at 11 o`clock is 060211

The password aways change while time is going .

  3. Hi Guys,

I'm new at setting up a surveillance camera but I understand how it works. Anyway guys what will you suggest with my project? this is my first time to setup this type of place, it's industrial area. I have a plan putting bullet cameras and 1 PTZ, but my problem is running the cables because they require UPS since they're using two generators and switching every 12 hours. Do you think it will work if I use Siamese cable from camera to dvr and power box?

Thanks in advance and looking forward to know you guys

I suggest yu can use POE Solution, Not hard to install.

  4. For now, if a camera can support "onvif notify" and NVR support onvif notify. then they can work togeter when motion.

But lots of chinese camera just support onvif for video output, they don`t support onvif ontify. so they can not connect other band NVR and motion.

I know HK and DH have their private motion alarm protocol , and they support onvif notify, too.

I have test it one week ago.

  5. In my memory, no NVR can pre record when motion. All NVR can record just from motion and continue.

Because NVR didn`t re-encode when receive a data from IPC.

DVR can do pre record, because DVR need encode the data to record.
