I did get the drop cam as an extra camera indoors. I don't have it paired with my current system (Swann 3MP), which wasn't my intention. I have motion detectors inside my home which alert me on my mobile phone. I basically use the dropcam as eyes inside my house when the motion detectors go off. I might need to increase my internet speed because the drop cam drops signal quite a bit. That might be why they call it "dropcam." But the HD video is superb and I don't subscribe to the back service they offer.

I recently upgraded my system and want to sell my old one. I want to format the hard drive. Can I do that within the program on dvr or do I have to remove it?
It's a Swann dvr.

I'm new to CCTV Forum and recently upgraded from a Swann SWDVK-825504 700tvl to Swann CONV8-A3MP4C 3MP camera and 2T HD.

Here is an awesome deal at SamsClub. I purchased a similar system at costco for more bucks I upgraded from a 700tvl to these 3mp cameras. You will be so impressed with the 3MP resolution. I had my system for about a year and love it!!

I also have seen bad reviews about swann tech support. I have called twice and had no problems. I had them setup my system with static ip and they took over my computer and made it happen in about 20 min!
