  1. Hi

I have an odd issue which happened today after moving to cable from ADSL.

Essentialy after changing to the cable modem I can now no longer connect to any of the IP addresses (camera, NVR, modem) connected to my switch from my PC.

My PC is connected to a switch which everything is connected to, as of this morning I had an ADSL modem connected and everything was fine, after changing this for a cable modem I can no longer access even the switch. BUT I still have internet throught he PC which is connected to the switch which is connected to the modem.

If I use a IP scanner all the devices are still show as active and on the right IP. But if I try and access them I now get a 'Could not establish connection to the remote host' error.

If I try and ping the switch I get a request time out error. But the switch is working as I have internet, but the camera software doesn't detect the cameras either.

Any ideas would be most appreciated

    Cheers

  2. Hi,

I'm having an issue with IVMS-4200. The 'Main View' shows 5 cameras working fine, but one gives "reconnecting error code hcnetsdk.dll [91]"

The camera giving the error code is recording and allows me to view the record files, it also allows me to connect to the camera, but it won't show on the main view page. It works fine on the iphone app.

I've tried rebooting the camera and NVR to no sucess.

    Any ideas?

    Thanks

    Alex

  3. Hi

I'm having trouble getting a Hikvision DS-2CD2332-I camera to record to my NVR. Historically it was working fine for over a year without any issues. I had to unplug it for some building work about two weeks ago, but when plugging it back in again I noticed it wasn't recording to the DS-7608NI-E2-8P (v3.0.10).

No settings have changed on the camera or the NVR, it appears that all the cameras have the same settings and the other five are all fine.

I've tried changing the motion detection settings directly in the camera rather than the IVMS4200 software, but on selecting save I get 'device error'. In fact I get this error across ALL the cameras, I don't ever remember this issue in the past. All the other screens allow me to save the settings. Is this an issue with the browsers blocking NPAPI plugins as I originally set everything up before the plugin was blocked?

Just to clarify, in IVMS4200, live view is fine and if I press the record icon in IVMS4200 when on live view it saves a record file. But it doesn't save a record file to the NVR.

The camera is detecting motion as it's uploading snapshots to my FTP fine. All the cameras have the same settings.

Any ideas would be most appreciated.

  4. Hi I have a feeling my hard drive may have failed, but not entirely sure how to actually test it without taking it out the unit?

Under HDD Management > Basic Settings

It shows HDD01 as grey out and non-selectable. Where it says Capacity and Free space these are both 0.00GB with Status showing Not Exist.

I assume this is a problem with the drive? I've tried rebooting the NVR and it's still the same.

    Any help would be appreciated.

    Cheers

  5. Hi,

I think a Chrome browser upgrade has stopped the Hikvision camera and NVR liveview from working in Chrome. It keeps telling me to download the plugin "Please click here to download and install the plug-in. Close the browser when installing the plug-in." I've tried downloading and re-installing and still get the error message.

I'm using a DS-7608NI-E2/8P NVR, with V3.0.10 build 141126 is there a newer firmware I should be using?

    Cheers

  6. Hi guys,

Thanks for your help in advance

I've been running my Hikvision cameras through an app called cammy for a few months and never had any issues. The service just receives snapshot images from the cameras sent through the >image>ftp settings.

However after buying a new TP Link router the ftp from the cameras doesn't work and I get a can't connect to server error.

Has anyone any ideas on what settings I need to look at?

    Cheers

    Alex

  7. Hi Tom,

Thanks for the reply. I am using the 5 second pre-record feature, but this isn't the issue, any movement which is outside of the selected movement detection grid is setting off the motion detection. Is there any other setting which I may have incorrect?

In regards to the snapshot feature, I'm using an app called Cammy which I FTP the snapshots to, this allows me to have very simple off site recordings and they also have an alarm system.

I still backup locally to the Hikvision NVR.

    Cheers

    Alex
