  1. My camera I got is rated for -20 F but what really happens if it gets to cold? What part breaks? And is it broken permanently or will it work once I warm it up?

If you worry about this, just replace these cameras into another one which have a heater in the camera.

    The can protect the cameras.

    And never worry about this.

  2. Hi all, can somebody help me with my floureon DVR 8ch. I checked it today and there is no signal to my tv with HDMI, Ive tried a VGA cable with no joy as well. The red light is on but the green light is not. I thought it was the hard drive but ive tried another HDD and still nothing.

    Hi,

First, check your tv. If OK, maybe the HDMI or VGA have problem. Then, you can check the cables inside the DVR are good or not. The last is just connect the DVR with tv without any other things, such as HDD, Lan and so on.

    May will help you.

  3. Thank you,

So would someone have had to take the time to removed the dvr cover to delete the log files?

Friend, if you have some video files important, then you can back up them. And no need to take time to removed the cover. It's auto cover.

And the log files, just ignore them. The log files will never full.

  4.

The DVR and Analog camera do not have compatible problem. All DVRs can connect with all kinds of analog camera. But use D1 or 960H resolution DVR will be better.

  5. So, in my opinion.

The camera in the woods must be outside, so the camera should be waterproof. While the camera you chosen is not. Please choose another model and should be waterproof, or the camera life span will very short.

Incorrect. The camera is rated IP66. Here's what that means: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/IP_Code

Just a suggestion. I know the IP66. It depands on yourself.

While, waterproof bullet camera will be better than the one you choose. Dome camera is not so good at waterproof, even it is rated IP66.

  6. I have missing video files and event files not there on a Pegesus dvr. How would someone be able to delete the log files?? Aren't they stored on the board?

    Friend,

*If the video losing, there are two things happened. One is someone formatting the DVR's HDD, another is the HDD is full, and the new video files cover the former video. For example, if the DVR start recording from Dec. 1st, after 20days the HDD will full, then the new video at DEC. 21st will cover Dec. 1st's video.

*If now losing, there are some problem with the way you search the video files. You can ask the technical where you buy the DVR from.

*You can seting a password for you DVR. Then others can not setting your DVR.

*The video files are stored in HDD, and event files are stored on the board.

    May this will help you.

  7. Hi my friend.

First, you want to install a camera in the woods.

Second, the distance is 700 feet.

    So, in my opinion.

The camera in the woods must be outside, so the camera should be waterproof. While the camera you chosen is not. Please choose another model and should be waterproof, or the camera life span will very short.

The distance is not so long, I think the coaxial cable will be work. Normally, the coaxial cable can transmitter 985 feet -1640 feet. But the power supply is a question, should think about this and protect it.

    May this can help you!

  8. Hi friend,

*When you install the plastic dome camera, you will see three green plastic capsule with the screen, this is for the installation. You should use them.

*The dome include two parts, upper casing and lower casing. When install, should screw out and install the upper casing, then screw back with the lower casing.

*Sure the metal dome cameras. Have many different kinds.

*If you want to mix the different brand NVR and IPC, just both of the NVR and IPC support ONVIF.

*It depands on the casing of the dome camera. You can buy the metal casing dome camera. Or the vandal-proof dome camera.

    May will help you.

  9. Hi friend,

Different company or manufaturer has different remote webclient.

Like Dahua, Hikvision, TVT, AVtech, Q-see, Honeywell and so on. They have their own webclient.

Maybe you know the CMS (Content Management System) also, all of the webclient can named as CMS.

Normally, the CMS can suppout 100s of DVR, IPC, and NVR. If the DVR, IPC and NVR are the same company or manufacturer.

May all this can help you.
