  1.

I experience this exact same issue. Anyone have ideas? There must be something easy missing...

    - Camera working fine

    - Change port from admin screen

    - Can no longer access camera in any way

    - Camera shows briefly on SADP with new port listed, then drops...shows again, then drops

    - Need to do a physical reset to access camera again

Does this on all my Hikvision bullets. ??

    - I had similar problem, the mistake was not changing the default ip of the camera.

  2. Hikvision supports only particular models and only Huawei company. Please call you distributor or Hikvision support for the list.(Prama hikvision India Pvt. Ltd.) They will send you a 3g firmware for you DVR.

I know about the old DVRs but 7204 HGHI-SH is HDTVI so only hikvision support will have the information.

You can try with 3G/4G router with has a USB port for Dongle. It works, i have done many times.

  3. If its Dahua or Hikvision there must be sub-stream or Extra-stream. Will give you little less clarity.

Also what slows down ? PC browser or Speed ?

-If its speed then you got to increase uploading speed near DVR and Downloading speed of your mobile or PC.

What speed does it show in speedtest.net ?

  4. Download TFTP software from Hikvision Website, Change your PC IP to 192.0.0.128.

Download the New or Old firmware and copy it to the TFTP server folder.

Connect it to DVR using network cable. Power ON the DVR.

The DVR should restart after 3 Minutes. Close the TFTP software or disconnect the cable.

  5. I work as a Technician joined a company in May 2014, Just-August 2014 I use do follow what others do in my office and did not care about changing DVR password. more than 65 of our DVR where attacked due to using default password, it was solved by upgrading latest firmware and changing password.

The DVR stops recording, all I/O ports, even mouse doesn't show the light. all i can see is power led.

So from then i always change password, use virtual server or port forwarding instead of DMZ, Change HTTP port, Server port and RTSP port.

The Vulnerability was posted on Nov 19, 2014 but Hikvision posted on their website on November 28, 2014
