  1. @ brazsik

What HDD are you using, traditional or the industrial grade?

“As I investigated, the camera (network?) was not able to load the streams bandwith

(5 x 2500Kb).” You mean the mini NVR cannot cope up with the load?

It's a standard 2,5" seagate in external box.

Well, for the second question, answer is: probably I guess. But as I wrote, I suspect there is a connection with the hdd recording...

when I will use esate connection, I will test my theory again.

  2. Hi Guys,

    just as information:

When I connected 5 cameras to my NVR, suddenly channel 1 began dropping connection...then turned back, then again off.

As I investigated, the camera (network?) was not able to load the streams bandwith

(5 x 2500Kb). When I throttled them down, everything began working smoothly (or maybe the hdd was not able the cope with the load as pre-recording with motion detect is being used...don't know)

I also ordered a SATA cable to connect hdd, as USB connection is still very unstable (using firmware 01-24)

  3. Higuys,

Could somebody provide an email configuration sample for our loved nvr , using a gmail account as sender?

    Thanks

    David

It may have already been answered somewhere earlier in this thread, but here's how mine is set. I'm only sending email when there is a video signal loss, and not trying to send pics or anything, but it has sent me emails a couple times successfully with this setup.

Many thanks for that! I read the whole thread a time ago, but I didn't remember seeing that.

Hi, you can only recognize the camera by the software they use.

I did a quick search online and found this Toptech TE-IQ619 has the same software with Escam cameras, so it is originally a XMEYE camera which means it is using i12 protocol with our NVR.

Thanks! Do I need to upload now extra things to the firmware (01.25.2015) to get the motiion detection to work? Or just keep playing with the settings, like enable motion detection in the camera, etc...

Edit & Anwer: When I enabled the motion detection feature in camera config (as also shown above "Escam configuration screen, motion detect" - I have the same camera config screen), everything begean working smoothly

I thought first that dvr does the motiondetect itself....

Hint: That should be noted in dvr manual!

  5. Hi all,

Dahua has i33 private protocol with us, upload i33 to enable motion detection function of Dahua Camera

Grandstream has i19 private protocol with us, upload i19 to enable motion detection function of Grandstream cameras.

D-Link has i28 private protocol with us....

    Qihan has i36 private protocol...

    XMEYE has i12 private protocol...

    ...

All camera must be Onvif, anyway, RTSP does not support motion detection.

Wansview is not in our partner list, If it is standard Onvif, then no problem on our NVR. But it seems they have their own standard too.

    Hi Mike!

How to find out, which protocol my camera does suppoort?

I have a noname (TopTech TE-IQ619) onvif one....

Or at camera search function it will be detected?

    David

  6. Hello,

I removed the activex from ie after firmware upgrade. However ie doesn't present an option to install the new activex. I installed the one I could download with the mininvr cd package, assuming that is the newest one, but did not help. Nvr webserver interface keeps saying 'no activex'.

Edit2: It works on my other laptop, so its my local problem...

    Thanks

    David

  7. Hi everybody,

I am also new in this forum.

I have a 8ch minnvr, which I like it much!! However there are some problems which should be corrected.

    I use firmware V4, dated 30.10.2014.

    - HDD connection is very unstable. There is no logic when my external hdd gets detected, when not. Weirdly when I unplug the hdd, format it on my notebook, then reconnect to the nvr and power the nvr on, mostly get detected.

    - In preview mode over web, when I display only one camera window, there is no button to display again 4 or more cameras.

    - setup of motion detection masking over web seems problematic. I can setup a region, but I am not sure that it was saved correctly.

    - the goolink setup was not possible (invalid serial id). That is might my own solely problem.

Firmware 25.01.2015 (I gave a try for that)

    - webserver login page collides with adblock (using latest chrome) and so many web elemets will not be displayed

    - generally missing html elements

Remark: Update over web failed (at 10%) and I had to do an usb recovery. Maybe the whole webserver update option should be disabled or guided with a message to the usb upgrade solution.

Again, nvr seems a nice one, surely for that price/service ratio. However, correcting the hdd stability should be prio1. I would like to use alternatively a fast usb stick also for that (I don't care about usb wear...)

As an extra idea, the community might could edit (extend) the handbook explaining various options for the nvr, and it could be made of part of the next firmware.
