Unfortunately the DVR no longer detects the drive, although the drive detects on the PC and other drives detect in the DVR, which in turn tells me i cant download them from the DVR itself. All that is stored on the drive is a series of numbered folders all containing .dat files. I have used mediainfo to determine they are AVC:8.00 files (if that makes sense?) However i cannot seem to get them playing on the PC. I have vaguely got them to work inside VLC player, using the H264 video demuxer, which plays the files BUT they are hardly visable, i.e very distorted image and extremely blocky.
I have read through this forum and a few others which have got me to this point but now im stuffed Any help would be greatly appreciated.
