Hi all,
Hope someone can help. I updated to the latest firmware
N6200-4EH/9EH/16EH_20151231_Firmware
But since doing so the system locks up on a daily basis. So I went to downgrade it back to the previous FW
update.3535.a.web.all.6200_4.9.16ch.update
but when the system rebooted it stuck at the screen logo “Network Video Recorder”
I have tried downloading the files to create a boot usb but the NVR2 still only boots to the logo screen.
Can anyone advise how I might be able to recover my bricked NVR2?
Thanks
Dave

I'm having a similar issue as you, With the same hardware but software version V4.0[20151231]
The network appears to stop functioning after a couple of days and I have to reboot.
I've also set a daily reboot as a work around.
Hi guys,I have a strange issue with the mini nvr 16 channel (N6200 16EH). I'm running on latest firmware 20151231 with the goolink patch. Everything works perfect.... for 2-3 days then a few things happen:
1. I cannot watch the mobile stream (IP cam viewer on Android)
2. I cannot ping the nvr from network or access from Internet Explorer or telnet
3. NVR is working fine from HDMI (recording viewing)
If I reboot everything is working normal.
I was forced to enable auto-reboot every 2 days... It's a temporary solution.... Someone knows something to share ?
update: Must be a firmware issue cause I used mini 8ch with firmware 201503---- on the same network and it doesn't go down.

I've asked this before a while ago but thought I'd ask again.
I have a Mini NVR 2 with hikvision cameras outside that work fine with motion detection but I have two Tenvis indoor Pan / Tilt cameras (IPROBOT3 & jpt3815w-hd both ONVIf compliant).
They are detected OK as ONVIF and you can set motion detection up. The problem is that once motion is triggered the cameras both continuously record they don't stop after X seconds waiting for the next trigger like my Hik visions do.
Has anyone else tried these and got them working correctly?
Or is there another protocol that might work?
Cheers
Dave

I have been using MEyeProHD on my Android phone. That works ok for viewing feeds but PTZ didnt work for me also i couldnt zoom in on a picture.. That works to port 5053 on the NVR box. I forward that port on my router and can access the feeds via my external ip.
does anybody found any mobile app for android that works with direct connection, wihout P2P?I'd love to know that too. I'd like to disable Goolink and use direct connection via my VPN.

I think there has been an update for goolink.
Try it again as it seems to be working now against my mini nvr2 box
Hello friends. I have one question. The application Goolink can see video recordings made on the HDD? Or you can use only the live stream? Otherwise it works perfectly. I have a single camera with ONVIF protocol. It works OK, can see live, recording the movement works, but Goolink application does not find recorded video on HDD. It's ok? remote playback actually works, or is there a problem with me? Iven last update of Goolink, remote playback still not work. Select channel, press search, and FAIL message appear. Please, I need an answer for this problem. In rest, its OK for me. -

My Tenvis IPROBOT3 camera is doing that, once it has detected motion it won't stop recording in the NVR but my HIKVISION DS-2CD2032-1 cameras connected to the same NVR box all work perfectly.
Seems to be some interop problem with some cameras, I wonder if it's to do with the ONVIF version, the TENVIS IPROBOT is ONVIF 2.1 compliant, not sure what ONVIF version the HIKVisions are but they are far more advanced as a camera.
Other than the issue with recording on the IPROBOT camera I have to say this NVR has so far been working really well. There seem to be a few bugs in the web pages but other than that I have been very pleased with it. I do wonder if I should have bought the MINI NVR2 though, if only to house the Hard disk neatly...
-
Hi All,
Anyone using Tenvis IPRobot3 cams with the Mini NVR?
I bought one to use inside the house to keep an eye on the cats but when I try and set up motion detection the first time it triggers it keeps recording and doesn't stop until I go into alarms and turn defence off/on again
I'm assuming it's the Tenvis sending a permanent alarm to the NVR, anyone Any ideas how to work around it?

HelloI have recently purchased one of these nvr's under the name Ctronics model is
CT-n6200-9eh and I was wondering if by default once the hdd is full it will write over old video from the beginning?
Does it matter what firmware you are running or do they all behave this way?
.
i am pretty sure I read in earlier posts on this thread that the boxes will overwrite older recordings when the disk fills up. I cant remember if this was a feature that has always been on the box or was added as one of the firmware updates.
-
Hi costinilie,
I have the same issue with Goolink in so much i get a "fail" message come up when i try to access recordings.
Anyone actually have it working?
I've dropped a question back to Goolink asking about it via the apps feedback option.
Cheers

Hi kurben,
Try going to Settings\Channel\Motion
Select your camera in the channel drop down,
tick the Enable Motion check box,
Set the area / sensitivity / arm schedule (I'm assuming you have because you can get the alarm).
But have you gone into the Linkage setting and make sure the camera is set in there to trigger the recording?
-
@Kurben
Motion detection only works if the camera supports it directly as it's not a feature of the NVR itself but the NVR can take advantage of the motion detection capabilities of a suitable camera. If the camera is ONVIf Compliant and has motion detection built in I believe it should work.
If you look back through the posts you can see many posts from Mike Mahon saying that
they created a lot of private protocols to provide interoperability with different Camera vendors (even ones who may appear to support ONVIF but impliment there own version).
Apparently HIKVision Cameras originally did not work using ONVIF but later firmware did (and does work for me) so presumably HIKVision now follow the ONVIF protocol more closely. But other vendors may not.
I can't remember where I got this list from when i was googling a few weeks back, It's of special protocols vs camera vendors (your cameras may be a rebrand of one of these)
I8- AEVISION/ Wision/ Devele/ HYvision
I8S- Tong Fang( TFCC)
I9- Topsee
I11- CNB
I12- XM( Jufeng)
I13- Hichip
I15- Launch
I16- RONG TIAN SHI(RTS)
I19- Grandstream
I20- HANY I21M,
I21H- Apexis
I22- Xin Hai
I23- KT&C
I24- JXJ
I25- RDS
I26- Safer
I27- Polytims
I28- DLINK
I29- Ecsino
I33- Dahua
Sadly not all protocols are loaded in the standard firmware and i'm not sure where you can download them from if you don't have them already.
@dgmorr
Make sure that both your Main stream and sub stream of the camera both match that set in the NVR
Settings\Device\DeviceInfo\StreamType
By adjusting on the Camera and/or the NVR and reboot both devices. This is what was stopping video for me (and it was only the sub stream that was mismatched). (Reboot both camera and NVR if you make changes)
Also try viewing via the web page as well as until I matched the mainstream&substream of the camera to the NVR settings I found I could view the video via the web page but not on a screen plugged directly into the box.

Hi all,
What are people using for viewing this NVR from a mobile (android in my case)
I have tried goolink but I want something I can view & manage over the internet.
Thanks

Hi,
Just wanted to say thank you to those that responded to my posts and also to all of you who contributed to this topic, It has been invaluable in getting my NVR working.
My Mini NVR (8 camera Version) arrived yesterday and after a bit of faffing last night I have my one and only camera up and running connected using ONVIF.
Updating
The NVR came loaded with early 20131211 firmware and I was able to update it directly to correct 20150124 version for my box from here http://www.urcctvstore.com/Download.html which was the
(Mini1 N6200-4E / N6200-8E)
8CH_Mini_NVR_V4.0_20150124_Firmware
Update was done by downloading the 20150124 version to a FAT32 formatted USB plugging into one of the usb ports and updating using the mouse and screen plugged directly into the NVR (not via the web pages). By going to
Settings\system\Update browse to the update file and click ok
NVR Networking
I wanted to use static IP address on my internal network
I went into Settings\Network\Network Settings
And turned DHCP off
and configured a static IP in my 192.168.1.X range, Subnet mask 255.255.255.0 , default Gateway etc
I also set the multicast address to 239.255.255.0
Camera
HIKVision DS-2CD2032-1
Firmware Version V5.2.5 build 141201
Encoding Version V5.0 build 140714
I had already configured the camera networking correctly for my network using a static IP.
On the camera I logged in and went to
Configuration\Network
And ticked the box "Enable Multicast Discovery"
I rebooted both the Camera and the NVR at this point.
Configuring the camera:
On the NVR I went to:
IPChannel Settings\Manual
made sure onvif was selected (tick boxes under the search button) then pressed search
My camera was detected and I was able to select it as Channel 1 on the NVR.
So my HIKVision DS-2CD2032-1 is configured in my NVR as:
Protocol:ONVIF
Address: [iP address of camera]
Device Info: DS-2CD2032-1
Port:80
StreamType:MainStream
NetworkType:TCP
PlayMode:Smooth
UserName: [username of the camera]
Password: [password of the camera]
After doing that via the mouse and screen plugged into the NVR I was not seeing any picture.
I logged onto the NVR via it's web interface and I could see the picture OK.
However,To get the picture to show in a screen plugged directly in the NVR I had to make sure that my stream and substream settings matched on my camera and NVR and the substream setting I had to change from 704*576 to 640*480
In my Camera I went to :
Configuration\VideoAudio
For
StreamType=MainStream I set Resolution:1920*1080P
StreamType=SubStream I set Resolution:640*480
on My NVR
Settings\Device\DeviceInfo\StreamType
and select from the drop down "8x[1920*1080]+sub[640*480]+2Ref.+8Sub_Play /1Main_Play"
Allowed the NVR to reboot and Pictures via a screen plugged directly into the NVR worked ok.
(this might be why some people say to display correctly all cameras need to be set to the same resolution for main and substream and that needs to match the settings on the NVR
Motion detection appears to work ok so far. I have a 500GB Hard drive plugged into the USB using one of these:
http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/311319213900?_trksid=p2057872.m2749.l2649&ssPageName=STRK%3AMEBIDX%3AIT
So far it's working ok with a 500GB Seagate Momentus 7200 Hard disk.
A couple of times when I have rebooted the NVR has hung at the first splash screen, unplugging the hard disk or waiting for a few minutes and power off/on of the NVR seems to do the trick.
One thing I did notice is that while trying to get the cams to display on the screen plugged directly into the NVR is that the web interface appears to be much more flexible with regard to display resolution. At one point I had my Cameras main stream resolution set to 2048*1536 and while that isn't handled by the screen plugged directly into the NVR I could view it via the web page (although I think bandwidth was becoming an issue as it was getting quite jerky so I dropped it back down).
I hope others find this useful.
Great site and once again thanks to all who have contributed, made setting this up so much easier.

Thanks for the responses guys,
What exactly is involved in installing the special ix protocols, there are various ones for different camera manufacturers. Where do you get the I protocol firmware (eg i12 etc) from?
Cheers

Thanks mirko ,
Does that camera (Item specifics show that to be branded as an Anran C130D1) work with motion detection ?

Thanks for replying Minglarn, I'll pick one of those Hikvisions up to try with it.
Anyone else have any other camera recommendations?

Hi All,
I'm in the UK and I have an 8 port mini NVR on it's way but need to sort out what cameras will work best with it.
I was looking at the Hikvision DS-2CD2032-I cameras has anyone used these on this NVR?
I do need to have motion detection working.
I ahve read through the thread and I know that earlier posts suggested the HIKVision didn't work originally but that later cameras may do.
I don't currently have any cameras so open to suggestions as to what works well.
Cheers

Hi Does anyone know what the latest firmware is for the Mini NVR2 N6200-16EH
I bought it from http://www.urcctvstore.com/index.html via li express ages ago and they used to keep the latest firmware on their website but I am not sure they are still trading.
Couple of questions if this topic is still alive..
A) Goolink stopped working ages ago and wanted to check if there is an alternative or a fix
B) are there any later firmware updates (I'm on V4.0[20160707])
Cheers
Dave
