Can you measure how much unit consume without hdd ?

Sorry I was asking if you use watt meter in dvr software or mains one. Also is it not better meaby use just standalone ip cameras with build in sdcard slots or ssd drives ?. I know that mobotix store footage inside the cameras and then using a client software join all of them into one system.

If you really bother that someone might look at your camera system I will recommend switch off port forwarding and use vpn connection. In these times even smartphones support vpn so it shouldn't be a problem. That will be always more secure that port forwarding but you need to check if your router support vpn as well.

I will not recommend using different power source. 2.5A is quite low for 2 hard drives and dvr. Hikvision use 2amp power supply in smallest 4ch units with one hard drive only.

I should have somwhere working sd unit I will check this weekend. All data should squeeze on dvd so i can send you one. All you need to do is copy everything to your hard drive.

I think best will be find same unit and copy all the files into yours. To double check do you have unit with round front panel without buttons ?

Disconnect hard drive for a day and see if problem still appears.

Is not second port design to odd device like dvd recorder ?.

I've just bought Samsung srd-1673d and with big smile on my face try to run it when I've realise that seller didn't give me admin password ;/ after some time he txt me code but it's only for user with full rights. I've tried default but nothing works. Front panel is different so I cannot use same resetting procedure as srd-470d by holding buttons because ptz doesn't exist ;/. Any help will be much appreciated.
