  1. Hello CCTV folk,

I have four SZSinocam cameras that support 'Access Point' mode.

Have any of you ever tested this functionality?

Does it mean that I can connect the camera with an RJ45 LAN cable and use it as an AP to connect other wifi cameras?

Or it only means that I can connect wirlessly my PC directly to the camera (used like an AP) using wifi without an external AP?

    Thanks,

    giorgio

  2.

Seller want's to send me 15€ Refund and told me to let the Cam repair in a local shop...

    anyway... the cam works!

but not in connection with ISPY...

So it is useless for my main application.

With the refund it will be a nice and cheap toy for playing around...

Did you find the local shop to solve your problem?

It is not bad that the seller sends you 15€ refund .

They have told me the same. But no 'local shop' can solve a software bug. KKmoon should provide a new sw version, but their site is totally empty and they do not provide any email address.

  3. Hello All,

I am about installing our CCTV network.

I have 136 cameras to deploy to 8 buildings. Most of the buildings are about 10 Meters from each other.

Pls help verify my design as follows:

-17 cameras (1080p) connects to each CISCO SF300-24P. Each of the SF300 in turn connects to the CATALYST 2960X.

-Since the buildings are close, I use outdoor rated CAT6 to connect the SF300 to the catalyst Switch.

-I intend to also use the 2960X for L3 routing for remote viewing of the cameras.

    Any problems inherent?

    Looking forward to your reply

    Just few suggestions:

    1) - I suggest not using CAT 6 cables for inter-building connections: in the event of a lightning that strike close to the building the overvoltage can enter into the cabling and destroy all the switches and all the cameras. Use Optical Fibers instead.

    2) - For the sake of service availability (136 cameras means that you have to control a large area) I suggest to buy a second distribution switch (you can buy another used 2960 on ebay) and connect each SF300 to both the distribution switches. The two 2960x can be connect togeter with a PortChannel or using a stacking cable.

    3) - Partition the cameras in groups and use a different VLAN for each group.

I had the same problem: the gmail SMTP server does not accept emails from applications that are not considered 'secure'.

I have enabled the 'Less secure Apps' (https://www.google.com/settings/security/lesssecureapps) option on my gmail account. Now it works.

  5. Hello everybody,

I have bought a cheap KKmoon IP camera with PTZ, model 805. I have two main problems:

    1) the camera continuously reposition the PTZ in the position fully anticlockwise and fully down

    2) the embedded web server does not show any image: the browser (I have tested IE and Chrome) says that the plug-in is unsupported

The KKmoon site (www.kkmoon.com) is completly empty.

Anyone knows how to contact them or where their firmware and plug-ins can be downloaded?

    Thanks,

  6. Also, I cannot get the "Video Monitor Software_20151020" to show any video. It is just pitch black. Recognized my mini_nvr on port 5050 with protocol i8 but cannot see anything. Do you know why this might be? Was anyone able to use the Video monitoring software the device comes with?

    Thanks

I don't know. I use only http access to the NVR and not the PC application. Is there any advantage using the Video Monitor Client?

  7. I've just got one of thease mini NVR without much looking into if my ip cameras would work with it. My cameras are 2013 Tenvis IP319W and I don't think they support the RTSP protocol. Not been able to get a feed to the NVR or VLC using a any of the paths I found here

    https://www.ispyconnect.com/man.aspx?n=TENVIS

    such as

    rtsp://IPADDRESS:554/image.mpg etc

    rtsp://IPADDRESS:8001/0/av0

    rtsp://IPADDRESS:554/LowResolutionVideo

Have I wasted my £25 quid.

    Have you tryied with:

    - rtsp://:554/main

    - rtsp://:554/sub

  8. Hi Giovalx,

What protocol are you using to connect to your cameras?

    Thanks,

    LouisIsMyDog

    Onvif.

Now the problem is that I have two couples of cameras, in each couple the vendor and the software release are the same, and the configuration is identical, but in each couple only one of the two cameras works with motion detection recording.

  9.

    Hi Giorgio,

Can you post the configuration for the motion detection. How did you change the camera configuration? Through telnet?

    Thanks

I access to the cameras using their web interface or android app. For some of them I can also use the Onvif Device Manager application.

I will try to post a configuration later

    Giorgio

  10. I have tested many different configuration options, both on the cameras and on the NVR. Now it seems it works. But I dont know exactly which configuration change has got it to work.

If someone is interested I can post the configuration of a camera and the corresponding channel on the NVR.

    Thanks

Yesterday I had 5 cameras working with Motion Detection Recording. Now, after making several other configurations, only one of the channel is still recording correctly.

I will try the sequence described by skoubri, and I will let you know.

  11. Hello,

I want to set the Email Settings (Config / Network Parameters / Email Settings)

    but it doesn't work.

I want to define the "(send)SMTP Server:" but I always get the error message "(send)SMTP Server Input illegal!"

And where can I define user and password for SMTP server?

    Thank you!

    You are using Gmail?

Please send me a private message with your setting screen print.

    Hello,

I do not know if it has been solved. I have the same problem, and I hope that Mike or someone else could help me.

    Regards,

  12. I'm not able to see any recorded video in the 'Playback Menu'. Can some of you suggest what I should do to check what is wrong about it?

The problem is the same as described in many other messages in this thread: it is the motion detection recording that does not work.

    Has anyone found a solution?

    Thanks

    giorgio

One of my cameras (maygion) also even it supports onvif there is no way to make motion detection to work... its a matter of protocol that communicate with IP camera.. actually the camera detects motion and NOT the nvr, so the camera gives the alarm to nvr to start recording IF the nvr can read this alarm through the used protocol...

I have tested many different configuration options, both on the cameras and on the NVR. Now it seems it works. But I dont know exactly which configuration change has got it to work.

If someone is interested I can post the configuration of a camera and the corresponding channel on the NVR.

  14. Hello all,

I am a new user of this Forum, and first of all I'd like to give my best regards to all of you.

I have just unpacked a new Mini NVR 16-ch from Cotier (FW version: V4.0[20150124]), and I'm trying to learn something about its configuration. Unfortunately the manual I have does not help much, so looking on google I have found this very interesting site.

I apologize if I will ask stupid questions or questions that have already been answered (I have read many messages in this thread, but about 1000 are too many).

I'm using the embedded web server to manage the device and I have many problems. I will start asking about a couple of them and leaving the others to future messages.

    1) Can I completely manage the NVR from the web interface and telnet connection, or I need to connect it to a monitor, mouse and keybord?

    2) Using the web interface, I'm not able to see any recorded video in the 'Playback Menu'. Can some of you suggest what I should do to check what is wrong about it?

    3) I connected an internal 2.5 SATA HDD with a capacity of 320GB, but in the storage management section I see only 238 GB. Is there any reason for that?

Thanks in advance for your kindness

    Giorgio
