Hi,
Could anyone advise. I have a couple of Escam Qd-300WiFi and Escam nvr (N6200-4e).
I finally got everything 'nearly' working (including email alerts with attachment following a Dec firmware update to the camera, supplied by Escam support). However, I still have an issue with motion detection, where recording will start OK (I see "motion start" on nvr log"), but it never stops recording until I manually force a stop.
Escam support do reply from time to time, and did advise the WiFi variant only supports Onvif, where as the QD300 (non-Wifi) also supports I12 protocol.
So it seems I need the QD300/I12 product for motion detection to fully work (i.e. start on motion, then end when motion stops). The nvr has a parameter that allows both pre and post record times to be set, which also appears to work fine.
I guess there are two questions;
1. Can I load firmware of a Qd300 onto a Qd300WiFi and benefit from the I12 protocol?
2. Is there a way to add I12 protocol to Qd300WiFi?
Failing that, I guess it's a case of buying a Qd300 and seeing what happens.
Any thoughts?
Mark.
