    Hi!

    I have bought this dvr (HCVR4104HS-v3 )from China and started playing with it. Ofcourse the reason was to change the chinese language to English

     

    I have done and update with this file DH_HCVR5x04-S2_SpnEng_NP_V3.200.0001.20.R.20150520.bin

    Everything was allright except the fact that each buton or description from the menu had also some odd english strings (like something from programming)

     

    After that i have tried another firmware:

    DH_HCVR5x04-S2_Eng_P_V3.200.0004.6.R.20151123.bin

     

    After this firmware the dvr keeps trying to boot. Only the logo appears and after a while it reboots.

     

     

    Is there anyway at least to rewrite the firmware with previous version?

    Is it lost forever?

    Hi

    I have Hikvison IP cam 3 Mpix but is named as Videoteknika VD6554 (version for Dubai brand) with firmware version V5.2.0 build 140721.

    Thinking about upgrade for Hikvision V5.3.0 build150513.

     

    Is anybody tried to do that ? I'm a bit afraid might something go wrong ...

    Any suggestion welcome.

    I'm sure this issue has been discussed before, but i need help and advice.

    I recently moved business premises and fitted a brand new 4 camera 1080 SDI system.

    My old business premises also had two cameras running on an SDI system, and they were constantly going blank, and the only way i could get the pictures back was to unplug them from the back of the dvr and back in again, then it was hit and miss, and i put it down to being a shoddy installation, using sky shotgun cable for power and signal at the time.

    Now I have moved premises, i purchased a brand new SDI DVR and 4 SDI cameras, and also an expensive reel of cctv coax with power cable attached, I also bought the best bnc plugs i could find. the cameras are all different makes and the new DVR is also a different make to the old one.

     

    Yet after installing the new system in a very pro way, I still get cameras going off with a "video loss" message in the quad screen.

    its driving me in sane, if i unplug the cameras and back in, they come back on too just like with the old system.

     

    Is this a manufacture design flaw? can it be solved?

     

    Normaly the for SDI camera the issue is BNC connector try to used normal one that connector have black robber cover (screw type)

    Quick question for you guys. I have a property I am quoting IP cameras for. There are 2 separate buildings with about 6 or 7 cameras going to each building.

    I am trying to not have to run separate cables from the NVR system building to each camera. So, I am wanting to split the cameras up into POE switches.

    In your guys experience what is the maximum cameras that can be ran off of a single Cat 6 cable? I was thinking of running just 2 Cat 6's to each building and then using two POE switches and hooking up 3 - 4 cameras per switch.

    I just want to make sure that one Cat 6 cable will run 3 - 4 cameras OK. Thanks

    First, I'm definitely not an expert. I've installed 5 or 6 CCTV systems in my life time, all trouble free. Needed to go from a 8 cameras system to a 16 cameras for my own system to accommodate an additional camera, making a total of 9. Got a FLIR D331600. I originally ordered a Lorex but was sent this FLIR unit. It is a refurbished. The problem, it is a little bit weird to explain. Let say I connect a camera to ch.1, the video from that channel will appear/leak in ch.2 in a sort of a ghost image in the background and rolling right to left. I have three cameras that are doing this. I've replaced two with the same type and the problem is still there. Sometimes the background video is strong enough that it will screw up the sync. and the video starts flickering. I've tried adding 75Ω resistor but this didn't help. This wasn't an issue with my older 8 cameras system. Cable run are an average of 50-60 feet. I haven't contacted FLIR yet, just needed some opinions before I do so.

    This the dvr issue its mean ur multiplexer ic is damage so affecting the other channel. send me photo of the main board should be clear

    I have a 4nsys 9ch DVR . Doesn't have the admin password and the default one '11111111' didn't work .

     

    DVR has wrong date and time , when I tried to change the time and date ,it didn't work .

    I wanted to factory reset ,it ask for admin access .

     

    DVR doesn't have the hard reset option on the device .

     

     

    Is there any way to reset the DVR ?

     

    Will appreciate your all help .
