Hello, im going to put in a 16 camera system at my home. want the dvr and power supply box next to each other and im going to use cat5 line to run to each camera. my question is should i get a balun that has both power and video in one and then just put the rj45 on the ends of the wires or can i use seperate terminals for power and video? the ones that the cat5 wire is just held in place with a set screw. i do have 4 cameras that have mic's so i need to wire those up too.

  2. Hello, I want to add a PTZ camera to my samsung sdr 5100n system but the 485 port on the back doesnt have screw terminals, instead its like this. I want to use cat5 for the data line since i already have an existing camera in the location that the PTZ is going. How do i terminate the cat5 at the DVR end? Thanks for any help
